The Flyers are happy to add the talented winger to the mix. With this move, we have got three legitimate scoring lines that we really like. He will be playing on our 3rd line with Peter Mueller & Ville Leino. The deal will pay Alex 2.5M over the next 2 years.
St. Louis signs winger Raffi Torres to a 3 year deal!
The deal will see the crash and bang winger to the Blues for 3 years, terms of deal will not be disclosed. We feel this gives us one of the best 3rd lines in the league with Armstrong-Eller-Torres, followed by one of the best 4th lines with Crombeen-McClement-Asham.
The Buffalo Sabres have become the pestiest team in the league, signing Matt Cooke to a two year, 2.8 million dollar deal.
We feel that Cooke can slot right in with Sami Pahlsson and Mike Grier to form one of the best third lines in the league and Matt adds to the acquisitions of Beauchemin, Hejda and McCormick to improve our compete level and physicality. We've felt that we were pushed around by both Boston and Ottawa when it counted, and as an organization, it's time to start pushing back.

The Flyers are happy to add goaltender Chris Mason to the fold to become our new starting goaltender for the next 3 years. The contract Chris agreed to will pay him 3.75M/year over the next 3 years.
With the addition of Chris along with other offseason moves that we have made, we feel that this team is even more poised to replicate the cup run it made last year.
Minnesota Wild, winger Vyacheslav Kozlov and center Craig Conroy have agree to a 1 year deal.
''We felt we could add veteran presence to our line up and we really love the depht we have now. We believe Kozlov still has one more year of productive hockey to give and Conroy is still one of the top PK foward in the league and a great locker room presence.''
Wild also signed Colin Stuart to a 1 year deal.

Mark Fraser sign to a 1 year 2way deal worth 550k$ in NHL and 85k$ in AHL.
Brock Trotter agreed to a 2 year 2 way deal worth 500k$ in NHL and 100K$ in AHL per year.
''We like what Fraser bring to a team, he still as to prove himself and we hope he will do that this year. We expect him to battle for a NHL spot for the 7th D as we expect to add another veteran D-man.
Brock got alot better as a player from 2 years ago to last year which makes us believes he still as alot of upside. We have a few question mark on offence even with the recent added depht and Brock has a job to win in camp. Our projection is he should be a NHLer by next year.''
The Pittsburgh Penguins are proud to announce the signing of Tomas Plekanec. The deal is a 5 year, 30 million(6 million per year) dollar deal.
"After trading Evgeni Malkin, we felt the need to sign a big-time 2nd line center. Plekanec was the guy we targeted all off-season. He'll be on a line with Wojtek Wolski and Scottie Upshall. He'll also be on the 1st PP unit, and he'll kill some penalties."
The Calgary Flames have signed non-tendered RFA Jannik Hansen to a 2-year 1-way $1,000,000 per season deal.
"We were surprised Vancouver didn't at least qualify Jannik based on his speed and tenacity alone. We feel he's been a bit snake-bitten when it comes to goal scoring, but feel it's only a matter of time until he finds the back of the net."
The Calgary Flames continue to be busy in the non-tendered RFA market signing Illka Heikenen and Derek Joslin to matching 2-year deals. The first year is 2-way with an NHL salary of $900,000 and an AHL salary of $100,000. The 2nd year is 1-way with an NHL salary of $900,000.
The New Jersey Devils have signed Michael Leighton, Taylor Pyatt, and Carlo Colaiacovo. Colaiacovo signed a 2 year, $1.5m deal, Leighton a 2 year, $1.2m deal and Pyatt a 1 year deal worth 750k. This rounds out our 2010-2011 roster.
