I'd love the Dutch to win. Dennis Bergkamp is the reason I am an Arsenal fan.

It seems they can't get it done when it counts though. Did you see them play, who was in in Euro 2008, Russia? It was like they kept trying to drive the play in the middle instead of taking it to the flanks. the only goal came off of a good ball played into the box and tipped in by RVN.

They'd be in if not for Thierry Henry's hand ball.

I'm cheering for the US and Argentina, huge Lionel Messi fan. I think the Dutch are quite talented, but when push comes to shove in big games, they can't get it done. My darkhorse is Serbia.

Not necessarily, wouldn't fancy Ireland's outfield players against Lloris in PKs.

I expect Brazil or Spain to take it. Europeans don't win outside of Europe, so I'll lean Brazil.

Portugal. Clinches advancement after two matches because it has Brazil last in Group G. Couple of good matchups from there, and ... A vitória de Portugal!!

Ivory Coast will have something to say about this. Drogba is most likely playing, and Ivory Coast is a little deeper after him than Portugal is after Ronaldo.

France and Mexico should win the opening day matches. As long as they dont **** it up too hard. I expect a big game from Gourcuff.

Oh no, I'm qualifying for the Cup with Ireland, so I'm really just trying to black-out the whole "offsides to double handball" thing.

I don't know why I'm having such a problem figuring this out. Are we on the east coast -6 hours or -7 hours from South Africa?

I think DST is throwing me off.

I wish. My company provides a few channels, mostly news. One is usually dynamic. For a few months it had ESPN, caught the Masters and such. Now it's on ABC....hoping it switches to ESPN soon...stupid Regis and Kelly.
