I like the logo the way it is so why would I try to do it better? That makes no sense asking me to draw one up.

Honestly I would love to see your final look. I actually enjoy seeing different renditions of what it could have looked like.

Like I said why would I draw one up if I like the one that is already there? I'm asking this toward the people who are complaining to draw one out and to see if they can draw one up better. I don't see what point your getting at with this.

As stupid as this may be, what do they do with the players....I know a lot are probably in apartments, but do they pay for them to move. What about the guys with houses and families, do they move them like any other company would?

That's a great question. Does anyone know?

I assume the NJ Devils would relocate them.

It's totally a throwback I just don't know how you can't see the reason why it isn't.
Obviously things don't have to be proportionate to be aesthetically pleasing. I was only saying that the design itself was not done that way with the goal of being artistic, it was done that way because it required the least amount of work. I am not about to question the fact that you personally find it more artistic which I see now is what you were trying to say originally.

However, I am not going to call it a "throwback" because it has a tail and horns. The NJ has them, the Utica "U" had them, the Lowell "L" had them, this has them and the Trenton "T" and "N" have horns. The franchise throws the tail and horns on everything possible. Just because they did it here doesn't mean that they were trying to honor or in any way reference the Utica Devils.

I could definitely live with that as long as you extend the tail out a little to the right.

I don't think it would've taken much effort to just extend a bar.

I'm not creative so I'm not even going to attempt it. I see the point from both sides..but I don't really care all that much about it.

Ohh I hear what your saying with the horns and tail. The reason I'm saying it's a throwback is because there hasn't been a Logo that has the white circle and a letter since Utica. River Rats of coarse were River Rats, Lowell had a devil skating threw the L but no white circle. This one looks more like the Utica one. Letter with the white circle and no devil skating. Do you see what I am saying?

Hey kids...don`t know if you are, but you`re acting like that...

Logo is good. It looks like A, and has got a connection to NJD logo, more than Lowell got. It`s just a logo, there are more important things...

Yeah, almost forgot about Utica - also historical context. This is more NJD logo I can possibly imagine. Looks fine.

Yeah. I think we're on the same page now. I will also add that the Devils didn't actually own the Rats so that's why the name and logo were actually creative.

I still don't know if I would have gone the way of the "A" with the tail and horns but something closer to this would have been much better:

"I like it"

It is indeed a Utica shoutout as it has the same awkward "point" sticking out of a mid-letter point rather than the tip. The slanted end of the shaft... this all sounds incredibly dirty.
