Can the NY Isles contend in the Atlantic

will the Isle s step up in the next NHL season and compete against the Devils and Flyers? This division seems to be dominated by NJ and Phila the last few years(probably more). Do u guys see the Isles stepping up?

whats their scouting report??

is their core good enough?

is Milbury holding them back??

Seems more like a question for the Isles board.

I can give you my impression of the team.

- Average goal tending.
- Great speed
- Lazy superstar
- Excellent defense core
- One of the best checking centers in the game (Peca)
- Trent Hunter is the future of the team. He's look like a great find.
- Not very much forward depth.

Milbury's trade which sent Chara and Spezza to Ottawa for Yashinmakes some of Bobby Clarkes moves look like pure genius.

No, can't say I do see them stepping up. Actually, I would say I see the Sabres bumping them out of the 8th playoff spot them seem to get. The Isles key players don't produce anymore. DiPietro has been iffy for them.

They have good young players but vets sometimes get the playing time ahead of them. They just seem to do enough to get the win most times.

As far as Milbury goes, he is worse than Clarke.
