He's tied into a couple of fat long term deals and ntc/nmc there's not much he can say....."well I think Redden needs to get his butt into gear or else I'm gonna trade him"...."Drury's intangibles are nice but we need more out of our captain and unless we get more out of his 8 million this year, we're sending him to Hartford with Wade."....nuh uh...not gonna happen.

On his future with Rangers:
“I don’t feel any different now than I did 10 years ago. I guess I would probably work until somebody doesn’t want me to work or I don’t feel like working. Same as you guys.”

Ummmmm you had 18,200 chanting to fire you at home games.

You had fans screaming for your head with torches and pitch forkes in thier hands before a home game in the streets.

You have had almost every hockey writer question your current ability to construct a Stanley Cup contender.

I think Glen needs a stronger hint maybe?

By "somebody" I think he means "somebody who has the power to fire me" aka "Dolan." He doesn't give a **** about a bunch of fans or hockey writers. Honestly, I wouldn't if I were a GM either. There's a reason you're a GM and there's a reason fans and writers are fans and writers.

Having said that, he sucks. However, the man with the check book may suck even more, so he's not going anywhere for a while.

It may come to it.

I do not think any other would do anything different. He operates within a given business model. So will his successor. Any.
