Fearing, even predicting the worst, is never the same as jumping off the "bandwagon." I wanted them to win.

Niemi is a good goalie... He will never be great most likely but he is a dependable #1 who can steal you games and make the saves that you need

And if Hjalmarsson want's too much I would rather move him and sign a vet like Lydman/Tallinder to replace him on 1 or 2 year contract and use the assets from Hjalmarsson trade to continue to restock the farm
Respectfully disagree.

1. Hossa isn't going anywhere

Bowman said that he builds around the core; Toews, Kane, Keith and Hossa
--> Campbell was not

2. if Niemi wants more than 2.8.... I would go after Ellis or Theodore for 1-2 year deal 2.5 or less

I would love to see him back in the Burgh, especially under his new cap-friendly contract. He won't be moved though.

Hossa for Craig Adams. I know Chicago needs to add a little more, but this is a start right?

Adams + TK or prospect + Pitts 1st round pick (20th) for Hossa? (Assuming they are moving him for cap dump)

Of course the Hawks would move Campbell before any of those guys, but you also have to consider whether anyone will actually take him. Campbell is overpaid by about as much as Hossa is underpaid. I wouldn't anticipate anyone trading for Campbell without sending about as much salary back, and that won't help the Hawks at all.

I don't think/say that Campbell is gone or something like this

1. Campbell is an important Player for the Hawks
2. There is a chance of tradeing him --> not a big

3. all comes down to Hjalmarsson's new contract and then how much our goalies will make

Hah, everyone was so surprised when he signed with Chicago last summer. It's as if people have yet to accept it.

I agree that he very well may not be in Chicago for the long haul, but to move him after the parade ends is seriously stretching it. Until the Hawks get under the cap I fear this won't be the end of the crazy speculation surrounding who will be on the Hawks next year and who won't.

Why is this so dumb? Hawks need cap room, Hossa was pretty much invisible in the playoffs and is on a huge long-term contract. He'd be the first player I'd move, well ahead of somebody like Patrick Sharp.

He was hardly invisible, unless you failed to notice him busting his ass backchecking.

As long as no significant salary comes back in return, I wouldn't be surprised nor upset to see Hossa moved.

Hossa *could* get moved but he should not be the prime candidate. This team will be better off waiving Campbell or Huet than trading Hossa for a small return.

Did you even watch the playoffs? Hossa was one of our best players on a nightly basis. Not to mention, I believe he played most of it with a sprained MCL.

Hossa's annual cap hit is one of the best value(s) (@5.23 Million) in the NHL, why would the Hawks make such a mistake?!?!

No way Chicago moves Hossa.
