In their prime I would love to have seen Probert, Kocur, or Stu Grimson take him on.
For comedy reason I would have also love to see Tie Domi give him a go.
Oh and for people in the league now that could take him.... Sean Avery!!!
Everybody always forgets about Tony Twist.... He was a monster... Check out this awesome compilation:
I had to watch it twice...
Twist vs. Ray
Here's his HBO Real Sports feature :
Now this guy was seriously skilled at fighting.... Heavy weight like this would have no problem going up against a player like Chara who is HUGE but has no where near the same skill level at when it comes to fighting...
Fedor Emelianenko, Brock Lesnar, Shane Carwin, a lion, a tiger, a shark, Big Show and probably at least a thousands other guys and million of other animals and myself can probably kick Chara ass in a fight.
Chara hasn't really fought a prime heavy wieght, BGL and Huggy Bear were on the begining decline at the time, and Chara went for the take down right a way against BGL, once he fights a prime heavy, if he can find one, and not bail and go for the take down, we should have this conversation.
Since the lockout he hasn't really lost a fight. Draws against Laraque and Brashear. Technically a draw against Artyukhin as well, but if Artyukhin didn't have a visor it would have been a big win for Chara.
Just because he takes someone down in a fight doesn't make him the winner. He can take a couple shots to the mellon and wrestle the guy down like a sissy...he loses.
I agree that any take down to stop the punches from hitting him should be considered a win for the other guy. Thing is, I don't think he's really losing the fight most of the times he takes a guy down. Maybe he's scared he's about to lose it?
Yes, I was quite impressed. I believe the fight ended up being a draw.
I'd say a draw for sure. It was a pretty quick affair, too many players and too much gear around for them to have a good bout. That's the closest Artyukhin has ever come to a loss, Chara is definitely a bad matchup for anyone.
