I had a great time last year. Its a great oppertunity to get all the rookies autographs and get some Flyers in the middle of the summer. (Although it hasn't been too long)
Damn this is coming up already? It's crazy to think they will start conditioning for next season less than a month after this season ended.
these guys get paid more money per year than i will probably ever make in a decade. i would be somewhat offended if they didn't start their own training regiment within 3 weeks of the end of their season, barring injuries which couldn't be worked around of course.
I've been meaning to go for years, and can't make it because of work. Of course, I would actually call out this year cause I got a **** ton of sick time to use, but I go on vacation the week after that. Clearly not a good idea.
I wonder if Wellwood is going to try this year and not finish dead last. It seems awfully soon, but I guess everything seems closer when you play deep into the playoffs.

I meant team activities/mini camp. Obviously these guys don't just sit around until September and then say ok time for some hockey. It was more of a comment about how late into the year they played.

I remember reading an article focusing on the Olympics in like September '09 where Timonen mentioned that he doesn't skate during the Summer, but I'm sure he works out.
While Leino has been skating for a while, and most of the other players have already hit the ice, Timonen has barely laced up his skates.
"I've learned over the years that I don't really need to skate yet," he said. "I played with a bunch of friends yesterday and that was the first time I skated since last season."
"I'll wait until I get to Philadelphia in a couple of weeks," Timonen said.

my b... i misinterpreted what you were saying. point still goes though that i hope they get their act together within a few weeks of the end of the season. i'd actually be curious to hear a bit more about their training routines and how much rest they allow for themselves after the season. also, i hope jvr eats like a king 5+ times a day during the off-season. can't wait to see if he lives up to the hype once he fills out a bit.
Hmm, it's a little surprising that he would choose Sea Isle over Avalon or Stone Harbor, but I do hope he comes.
He, emery and cote were down there some last summer. The Isle is a bit more younger crowd than Avalon or Stone Harbor, and cheaper. There is also a boat docked on LBI named "playmaker", I'm assuming that its a Flyer as well. A few of the 70's guys live down there as well.

I know Homer and Luuko have places in Avalon. Maybe the players are trying to stay away fromt them .
Haha my co-worker was telling me on Monday that his son's down there for the week, and Sunday night there was a **** ton of them at some bar, and apparently his son kinda looks like a younger Pronger, so people kept buying him beers all night. Kinda mad I wasn't there. Apparently Carter and Richards were quite intoxicated. Could've used a good body guard to watch over them.

Girl, you'd do a great job. Kinda like the mouse guarding cheese....
