Nathan Horton's agent says trade is a very good possibility

Quote:
Nathan Horton's agent said Wednesday he believes "there's a very good chance" the Panthers right winger will be traded before or at the draft next weekend in Los Angeles.

"It would not surprise me at all if he's dealt by the draft," Horton's agent Paul Krepelka said, adding that Horton's aware of the possibility. "If it happens, it happens."

Buffalo is one of several teams interested.

Horton's NTC kicks July 1.

If they traded Roy for him, who would play with Horton?

if he is available and the Bruins don't make a serious offer for him i will be pissed. they guy, although rumored to have some effort problems, is everything that PC says he wants in a top 6 forward. big with a physical streak that he can take to another level and he can really shoot.

he would look great on the right wing with savard imo. Lucic-Savard-Horton would be fun to watch. if the Bruins can offer a good enough package that the Panthers would take ryder's contract that would be ideal.

Funny, I've been thinking of a Horton-Connolly swap for the past few days, but the Sabres would need to add. I'd like Horton for Roy more, but I doubt the Sabres would do that.

What GM doesn't want a player like that?

obviously you have never heard PC talk about it. of course every GM wants players like that, but PC brings it up all the time.

you would have to listen to his press conference's or just look at his draft history. he has gone big forward the last two years, and ask any other Bruin fan he talks about it a lot.

You must be looking for someone else, cause that's not Horton.

Well it's not like Connolly is some scrub. He's a top 6 center that Tallon wants. I said the Sabres would need to add.

Haha well played..

I think many teams could use his services though.. Bruins and Leafs included depending on the asking price. Can't be too high seeing Florida ends up trading all its stars for less than equal value.

Never really been a Horton fan, since his days playing for the gens. It was the issue of effort.

But, i wouldnt be really disappointed if we got him; im fully confident the team could light a fire under his @ss.

I'm just saying there is going to be a lot competition for him. As a Pens fan I he is one of very few guys I would consider trading Staal for and I am a big Staal fan.

Yeah, you wish. We're not just going to give him away. Tallon's on board now, not Keenan.

He is not worth 4.5M for one more year, and his 29. Vanek or Roy have to comeback.

Leafs don't have the assets to get him. No 1st round pick, and no great prospects except Kadri.

How is he not worth 4.5M? He scored 65 pts. last year, has been a #1-2 quality center for years now. Only negative really is the injury history. He's 29, so what? Horton's 25.

I know. I said we could use him..

Would you be interested in Schenn or Gunnarsson however. Shenn and Fowler or Gudbranson would be a good core going forward with Markstrom in net.
