Not surprising at all. Very good IMO.

I am okay with this decision. MacLean earned a shot. He barely can't be more outcoached than Sutter and Lemaire were in the last 3 years in the playoffs.

Let's see if he can do the same with our powerplay as what he did with Lowell. 4th ranked PP with 20.2%.

Thank god all this drama and speculation is over.

Now Lou can get down to negotiating with our players.

I can dig it. So much for that guy from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and his Therrien rumors.

Welcome aboard, Johnny Mac.

Congrats Johnny! I'm hoping some of the young guys that he worked well with make the team next year. I'm interested in seeing who his assistants will be.

meh. Better than Hitchcock but could have done much better. Haviland seemed like he was more fit for the job, but oh well.

Such a shame the home grown Jersey boy didn't get a shot. Hopefully, one day. Oh well.

I will bet they will be Stevens, and Albelin still. Trembley will become a special assignment coach with Lemaire.

Wonder who the assistant coaching staff will be. Is this press conference even going to be televised anywhere?

Good for Johnny Mac, but honestly, I wanted some new blood. Was really hoping for Haviland.

At least it's not Hitch or Michelle.

PSE&G may want to consider dropping their PP sponsorship though.

MacLean definitely deserves it, and considering how this team is expected to become younger with some infusion from Albany, MacLean became the best choice. The man knows his stuff. His time has arrived.

I'm definitely happy Lou didn't go outside the organization this time. I certainly never understood what some people saw in Haviland that we already didn't have in MacLean.
