I hope this works out for the best, but I am far from optimistic. All the pressure in the world is on Price now that we've sacrificed our most popular player for him. His mental strength has been his biggest weakness so far and that's going to be tested big time.
Good luck to Halak in St. Louis. Great player and I wish him well with a team that actually has a little bit of respect for him.
oh snap, eller and schultz? seems like we overvalued our goalies a lot if that's what we're getting back
No offense, but quite literally everyone but Habs fans were saying that their goalies wouldn't get much more then a good prospect, 1st rounder, or borderline top six player back. The only people that ever seemed to over-value Halak and Price were Habs fans.
I wouldn't be surprised if RDS is wrong. LOL They always **** up. I'll assume they aren't for now.
TSN has it up, so I doubt this is wrong. I am rather disappointed primarily because I preferred Halak and because I suspect this deal will not be what we expect it to be. I suppose Halak was the logical move, due to potential overpayment. So here is hoping!
Edit: Eller and Schultz... WTF? Not even a top roster player or a pick? I have a bad feeling about this...
People that are complaining about the return for Halak fail to realize that he is an RFA and is probably asking for a high end starter's salary. If he signs for more than 4.5 per, good deal for the Habs, and the Blues could afford to let go of some of their prospects.
