No place like home, eh Arnott?
Also of note:
The Central Division is the first (and right now, only) division in hockey this year to have all its teams get to double-digit points.

Atlantic fans can put that in their pipes and smoke it.

Only division with all the teams in the playoffs, if they started today. Of course it's only been seven or eight games

Wow, -18 differential for the Devils. Reading the GDT for the Devils is like watching a man laying atop a fire ant hill covered in honey.

THings will get better for the Devils.....you hope.....especially for draft pick fine they have to pay for Kovy.

Note: The bottom two teams in the East are NJ and FLA. The two teams Nashville has for picks are NJ and FLA.

And still trying to find out about the conditions for the Santorelli trade. Conditional 5th......maybe.

Benched Jason Arnott said he did nothing wrong to deserve it. "Not in my mind. It's been a little weird this season."
Typical Arnott attitude right there

I'm happy how things worked out this summer. Arnie and JP were both faced with a challenge and an out (trade). JP refused to take the easy path and busted his butt training this summer and is playing some of the best hockey of his career here this year. Arnott took the out and asked to be traded to a spot he was comfortable with...

Nice to see Ryan Jones score some points already this season.

Oilers

Games Played: 10

Goals : 3
Assists: 1

Not bad for fourth line

What do you guys think about the new All-Star format?

It still won't fix the problem of no one caring about the actual game, but it should be very entertaining to see how the draft goes.

I'm pretty interested in it actually. I'm curious to see what order the captains will choose their players. I really hope that they choose real captains and not just Crosby and Ovechkin. I'd like to see them pick two veterans like Lidstrom/Alfie/Pronger/Iginla or something

We'll keep our existing cannon, thanks. Less friendly fire incidents that way.

Random fun fact: Not a single Blues fan has yet acknowledged the fact that the Blues soccer game was closer to the Jackets locker room than their own. Strickland did... but they haven't.

December 9th is going to be epic.

no it won't. there won't be even a whimper. especiallu judging by the hell janssen and blues put tootoo through last night for cleanly checking coliaccovo and hitting reaves when he wanted to fight. they were so vicious.

Philly re-ups Giroux. STL re-ups Backes.

Poile will talk to Weber's agent next time they happen to be in the same place

------

Speculation that Malkin could be available.

Just watched devils win their FIRST home game of the season. As the winning PP goal was scored, one Jason Arnott was positioned IN FRONT OF THE NET. Can he not find the outside side board at his new home arena????????

Wade sniped Lindback so badly at the morning skate at St. Louis leading Lindback to proclaim that he was considering retirement due to the embarassment. Then to top it off absolutely deked Lindy out of his pads today at practice in the shootout.

I think Beeler's definitely feeling the pressure to score in his 2:00 TOI...
