ESPN HOCKEY/NHL(EA) players name...

For those of you who have ESPN HOCKEY/NHL(EA), did you notice that some of the players name sound different of what they really are?

For exemple: Huselius sound like Useless
Dagenais sound like Déjeuner
Sekeras sound like Sa Crache

If you have more funny name like that, post it here...

Not really related but in the new ESPN roster Ryder is there and everytime he has the puck they say "Number 73", it's irritating.

Higgins has his name, why not Ryder?

They probably already had a "Higgins" in there, he'll be there in the next one in October

I've got a weird one. In EA Dynasty mode, one of my draftees, Richard Nikolov, D (rated 90 with 91 potential after 5 years of development) is always called "Angel" Nikolov whenever he tallies a point.

I made myself and my name is Daniel and it always pronounces it "DON-YEL" whenever I score. Weird. Is there a French Daniel in the NHL? I can't think of one. It doesn't sound French either.

I created myself as well. I spell my name Philip even though i'm french. But for some reason they pronounced it Fealeap. Which is pretty funny, cause I got use to it playing hockey with people in Halifax who had no clue how to pronounce French but still wanted to pronounce my name in ''French'' it sounded the exact same.

In NHL 2004

Maxime Ouellet : Oooo-let

I just couldn't have him on my team ; I got pissed each time I heard the name.

In NHL 2004, goaltender Cristobal Huet is named Hewitt like the tennis player.

One of the neat things is that Kastitsyn is in the game... You need to draft him at the end of a season in Franchise mode.

The problem is that his name is "_Kastitsyn". But I think Gary Thorne says his name, which is pretty cool.

....

The funniest thing is how you draft a player..he seems russian or something by the name andrei yagulov or whatever...yet he'll have a birthplace of something like portland oregon.

And at times you get a name like Mike Smith for just an example, and he's from slovakia. Tsk.

The actual pronounciation of Kaberle is Ka-bear-luh. Ignorant Leaf announcers like Bob Cole and Joe Bowen continue to pronounce his name Ka-ber-lay even after Kaberle himself told them on live television that the actual pronounciation is ka-bear-luh. Cole actually had the nerve to ask Kaberle if he could continue to call him Ka-ber-lay and Kaberle sheepishly agreed.

The guys on the Fan 590 however, have a little more repect for the players and they all properly pronounce his name Ka-bear-luh.

This is just one of a long list of reasons why I think that Bob Cole is a senile idiot who should be in a nursing home somewhere slurping on ensure and sitting in his own poopies.

Agreed.
Last night in the CGY-SJ game, he somehow managed to call Kiprussoff Aebeischer.
And on top of that, there was 11:51 to go in the first persiod and he said there was 8:09 left in the first.
