I should have emphasized when I said, "For the hell of it" I posted that proposal to show a fellow Coyotes fan what I would be willing to give up. It was nothing that I think is realistic.

Oh and by the way, as a Coyotes fan I have an insane man crush on Plekanec. There is nobody I want on the Coyotes more than Tomas. I would love for this deal to come true, but I don't think Montreal fans would agree.

Why would the Coyotes want a guy they couldn't sign?

And before you answer remember, if Lombardi walks it's very likely because the Coyotes with their crappy ownership situation couldn't offer him the length of contract he was looking for.

Oh I'm not saying they would want to sign him, I just know I want to.

Unfortunately I'm well aware of our money issues.

For once, that's a pretty solid proposal.

However, it doesn't make sense for the Habs to acquire the rights to Michalek since we don't have the cap space to re-sign him.

If Plekanec is still unsigned by the draft, the rights to Plekanec for the rights to Lombardi+ could be an option. It depends of what the Yotes would be ready to add.

How far along is Turris? Will he be able to debut(again) next year?

He's expected to. He had a solid year down in the AHL, put up good numbers on a semi-poor performing team.

Some predict his development can be compared to Anaheim's Bobby Ryan. Slowly but surely.

Look for him to be centering the 2nd or 3rd line in Phoenix next season.
