Although I do not feel that he will replicate his success with the Habs, he will definitely fill a major need on this team. We are sorely lacking in big and rugged forwards. He will create more space on the ice for our smaller forwards and will improve our GF because of parking his big body in front of the net. I think the Hawkes will be asking for prospects in return because of how cheap they will come.

2) Trade Andrei Kostitsyn, Sergei Kostitsyn and 27th overall for Dustin Penner and 31st overall (I know it's sadly just a dream)
3) Trade 31st overall (+ if needed) for Byfuglien
I really think that we need more than 1 top 6 forward with size in our top 6. Of course, a lot will depend if PG decides to move Hammer and I'm not sure it is in the plans at the point.
If we can AT LEAST move the brothers and acquire a player ala Byfuglien (in a separate deal for salary concerns), I will be fine with that.

He'd be far better on a line with Pleks and Cammer than he would with Gionta and Gomez.. I think Pleks (if he resigns) and Cammer needs alot more size than the first line.
That's actually quite funny. I've saw a lot of proposals involving the 27th overall and pretty much everybody was fine with that but 31st overall (+) isn't fair because it is a 2nd round pick?

That's my thoughts too.
If we are to acquire only 1 top 6 forward with size, there's no doubt in my mind that he should be used on the Cammy line.
If we were to acquire 2 top 6 forward with size (unlikely), it would be perfect!
out of all the players that get the "omg get him!" hype on this forum, this is the guy i'd want the most on the team. Really fills a hole and we might be good partners for Chicago especially since we're in the East.
My only problem is that he had the worst +/- on a stacked team, do you think that will improve playing for the Habs?
I think its more of a lack of size issue on our team, that makes us want him more.. than what his stats are. He's a big guy who can play too.. and he's not afraid to go to the net. Our top two lines lack an extra winger that can do that.. I mean we only have GIONTA who does it on a constant basis
