Byfuglien + Ladd + Eager are all Burke type players

Just saying!

They are, are they?

Funny how much interest there is for these players. One might almost think it's a sellers market and the Hawks might well get MORE value for them than expected.

Nah, you're probably right. GMs don't care about their own teams at all and are just out to screw the Hawks. Clearly.

Funny how HF Boards says their will be no interest but then constantly makes proposals with those players involved

Trade Buff to Toronto and give him a lifetime Twinkies supply as a parting gift.

They can come out and say they don't want to trade him, but I don't see where they said he won't be traded no matter what.

Considering they are not fielding offers on him I must assume Bowman has something planned

Not saying you are going to get screwed but you are giving up top players to get under the cap, wait until the smoke clears and you will see.
You won the cup, now it's someone elses turn.LOL.

I wouldn't be surprised if that would lower the value of these three guys by a fair margin.

These stories are a dime a dozen. Dreger says "they're not interested" - so what, it doesn't mean it has any relationship to the salary cap reality the Hawks find themselves in. I don't doubt that Hawks management would rather trade other players before Sharp, but at some point if push comes to shove and players like Campbell, Huet and/or Sopel are still on the roster - bye bye Sharpie.

There are so many variables - more than half the roster is in flux and possibly on the way out of town (Campbell, Huet, Sopel, Versteeg, Byfuglien, Sharp, Ladd, Eager, Hjalmarsson, Niemi, Burish, Madden). There can be a dozen or more scenarios with a dozen or more final rosters before this is all said and done. It all depends on who Bowman can trade to get the dominos to start falling.

What exactly? That he likes his team and knows that Sharp is a good player, which is the opinion of most HF boarders?

Why not? He would immediately be your top point producer (aside from maybe Kessel). He can play wing and center and is a great two way player. He can play the PP and the PK and is considered a leader in the Hawks locker room. Oh yeah, he's signed to a cap-friendly contract. So exactly what about Sharp makes you say that you would NOT want him in Toronto?

Don't mind TML, we don't let him out that often.

As a Leaf fan I'm disappointed to hear that Sharp won't be moved. Though I can't say I'm shocked. Of all the players Chicago planned on moving, I would've preferred Sharp. I guess Chicago feels the same way.

Solid player, it'll be a good move keeping him if they can afford it.

I'm sure Burke is still interested in Ladd, Buff, Eager, Versteeg and Sopel to some extent.

Smart move if they hang on to him. He has been very impressive for quite some time now.

But...but....Nooooooo Oh well, I can definitely understand this. If I was GM I wouldn't let go of him either, 3.9 million for a player like that is a solid contract.

We have Kadri AND Tyler Bozak. (And also Grabovski, unless someone wants to knock our socks off with a great offer for him!) Come on, why would we need Patrick Sharp!

Grrrrah, stop trying to dump your trash on the leafs!
