I was cat sitting 3 cats and thought one of them was behind the couch so I pulled it away from the wall, only to see all 3 cats eating. The couch, lamp and plant continued to shake. That's the 3rd time I've felt an earthquake in Toronto.

LOL@ the Mike York jokes.

I actually thought it was Pavel Brendl tripping down the stairs after getting his dozen krispie kreme donuts.

I didn't notice anything.

I actually am quite familiar with the ground moving because I live near/work around quite a few quarries.

What the? I'm in Warrington which is surrounded by at least three quarries that I know of within close range. Never felt a thing in my life.

Some times you can hear them blasting away, but that's it.

Could it be you are never home when they blast?

I went to school at Tamanend and the Quarry on the other side of 611 would frequently make the windows rattle and the lights flicker.

Currently the quarry off of 413 is what causes the vibrations most noticeable to me.

Different techniques of blasting send the vibrations in different directions, so it really could be a matter of you living/working in the right spot. Blasting usually occurs around 12pm and is only 2-3 days a week.

Apparently there was a tornado in South Philly by the stadiums. My dad got stuck on the way home, cause he was said there was something like 9 or 10 trees knocked down. I at least got my entertainment out of watching replays of the poor ******** trying to hold the tarp down at the Phillies game yesterday.
