I wonder if Tambo and Sather are wasted and he just fleeced Slats on a deal for Souray and Staal straight up

I'd garner a guess and say its a D-man tweener type. Christoph Schubert type.
Yeah I would be down with something like that. Schubert would fit the bottom pairing D Tambo said he wanted to bring in.

I have a feeling we will be adding a 4th line enforcer type that can play a bit before next season (Konopka would be nice or maybe a DJ King or someone).

I'm guessing its the rights to O'marra for the rights to another prospect.

Why not? Fairly complete player, would come cheap, has a bit of experience and is coming off a pretty decent season in the KHL.

I think he'd be a nice addition to our bottom six for 800k and a late draft pick (Philly still owns his rights, I believe).

Doesn't Depth mean we are bringing in Depth or we are trading Depth? you know, someone we don't need in our bottom 6 or bottom pairing dmen?

Would agree here. Im gonna guess a bottom pairing d man. trying to wrack my brain on what the trade would involve.....

My lame guess is POS for an equal (potential, vastly underachieving) d man.

DJ King would be a dream come true. A guy who hits anything that moves, can skate and fight.

Thats like the anti-Oilers right there.

He's on the trading block, so some team is bound to pick him up. And he did really well in the KHL this year. He's a better player than when he was in the NHL the last time.

Then again, I highly doubt that it's him.

Jack of all trades, master of none? Or in this case, mediocre at all. I want bottom 6 players that can either hit, fight, or play defense at a reasonably high level. PT does none of the above with any kind of distinction. He's like Reddox - ie. dime a dozen player.

Edmonton are rumored to not be re-signing O'marra.

I wouldn't be surprised if its a deal like the Cody Wild one.

I actually liked him. Especially his energy and he seemed to stay on the right side of the puck defensively.

My only problem with him was he got knocked off the puck a lot and easily. Unless he has gotten better at protecting the puck and fending off checkers. Then I am not sure we have a big enough or gritty enough forward group to cover up that weakness.

I thought I heard he was on waivers to bring him back the other day. Not sure if that was true or confirmed, but if true we could get him for free.

Shoot me in the face if I stay up for an O'Marra trade.

Well, I would anyways.

Sorry 420 but it was honestly the first thing that came to mind. We desperately need new Oiler blood.

You really can't be comparing him to The Mighty Red Ox.

I doubt Liam would be able to do this:

Seriously - I would....

And I'd get Mikhnov also - seriously...

We're a 30th place team.... Both players are potential "core" 3rd line players with offensive upside. Both would be inexpensive... Both could easily outplay their contract...

MacT is gone.... Give them rope to either lasso the opportunity or hang themselves....

On a 30th place rebuilding team, how could it hurt?
