Edmonton actually seems like they could use some more defensemen. Outside or Souray they only have Whitney, Gilbert, Smid, and rookie Chorney. They also have young Theo Peckham who has 30 NHL games in the last 2 seasons. Not sure if those 2 youngsters are good enough they'd want to stick with them though.

I would get rid of him in a heartbeat, the guy is so clumsy, misses pucks makes so many mistakes, not worth the sallary. If we can get a 2nd or 3rd round pick or prospect i wouldint hesitate, maybe even cogliano.

1) We have clarification on the Rangers-Bruins rumor from the other day. The Bruins have called the Rangers trying to unload Marc Savard for Matt Gilroy and a 2nd round pick. Even if the Rangers do not take this exact deal, the Bruins still have an interest in Gilroy.
7) Finally, there is no more word on the Oilers interest in Girardi, but word is they are also high on P.A Parenteau.

Well, to his credit, the Bruins have no room for another center and need a salary dump. Getting only Gilroy back would free up some space.
