[SWE] Swedish NHL all-time lineup

Since we seem to hav lost ourselves in all those rosters (which is fun ) I'll try to make a swedish lineup with the best swedish players played in NHL. Some are picked for their long term services, others for their short term success. I know other may choose others, but here is my team:

Goalies:
Tommy Salo
Pelle Lindbergh
Tommy Söderström

Defense:
Nicklas Lidström - Börje Salming
Calle Johansson - Ulf Samuelsson
Stefan Persson - Kjell Samuelsson

Offense:
Mats Näslund - Kent Nilsson - Peter Forsberg
Håkan Loob - Bengt-Åke Gustafsson - Tomas Sandström
Anders Hedberg - Thomas Steen - Mats Sundin
Thomas Gradin - Per-Erik Eklund - Markus Näslund

Extras:
Fredrik Olausson, Patrik Sundström

HM:
Tomas Jonsson, Daniel Alfredsson, Ulf Dahlen, Jörgen Pettersson, Inge Hammarström

hehe nice idea. I like that team quite a bit, but I can't see for the love of God why you included Kjell Samuelsson , when there are players like Tomas Jonsson, Mattias Norström & Fredrik Olausson available. Don't get me wrong, Samuelsson was a pretty good NHL-defenseman (although I don't think he actually played one full season during all his years), but he has nothing to go on a player like Tomas Jonsson or defensively on Norström

That's a very solid and great team! But yes, I'd replace Kjell Samuelsson with Tomas Jonsson too, but Kjell is good if you need to add size to the team though. But overall I can't say much about those picks, that's about the team I'd pick myself too.

To be honest, I've never seen Big Kjell play, but everything I've red about him has been positive. Especially everybody seems to be talking about his size which makes it very hard top go around him. I had problems with the last defenseman, Jonsson maybe would have been a better fit.

Tommy Albelin is another impressive d-man. Although not being a star, he is a good defender that always seem to find a place for himself in the NHL. Besides, a more experienced d-man you'll have to look long after.
* Played a lot in the SEL
* Have played a lot of seasons in the NHL
* Have played in the AHL
* Won the Stanley Cup, although most as a depth guy
* Been top defenseman in a young Calgary Flames, being mentor for the kids
* Played World Champs, Olympics, World Cup for Sweden
He have been almost everywhere you can be as a swedish hockey player

EDIT: I'll add U20 World Champs to that to. He is also know as a very well-trained athlete, despite his age.

Here's one that hopes Albelin will come home and finish off his career in DIF. Some think he's done and wouldn't add much to the team but I think he can put something to the table.

I just have to say I love the way Albelin play. I've seen him some times this season, but more last season. He is so well-positioned, plays simple, never seems to get into trouble. Ok, he don't bring much offensive play, but as a 3rd pairing depth guy, he is really good.

I though think he would get some problems with the bigger rinks, but the role as "sweeper" would be a perfect fit for him! Would be really nice to see him in the SEL once again, although I doubt it.

i don't really know much about the history of Swedish players, but shouldn't Mats Sundin be higher than 3rd line?
