Eklund: Habs to bid on Kaberle

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Eklun...k-More/1/29062

- Sens looking at Kovalchuk
- Savard to Leafs within 24 hours
- Kaberle could go to Pittsburg
- Habs trying to put together the best offer for Kaberle

Kaberle always plays well there.

Why not.

Maybe he'll help us out one game with a hat trick of disasters.

Well it's strange... they have Markov and Subban already.

Besides which top 6 can they possibly give us?

Jay Onrait will be here any minute to beat the crap out of you for posting this. Just a heads up.

That being said.... don't quite believe any of these 'rumors'.

What the hell, if we got Savard in the next 24 hours I would be jumpin' outta my chair. Then I would drool about the possibility of signing Kovalchuk. This would reunite Kovy/Savard as well as Kessel/Savard. We would then have a 1st line of:

Kovalchuk - Savard - Kessel

And then I creamed my pants.

LOL I don't want to believe it either. Habs don't need another offensive d-man and we don't want the kostitisyns.

I think I read somewhere that Markov was going to be moved or he was already looking for too much money... something like that.

As for the top 6 player.... good question

kovalchuk going to the sens could be the best fit for him. him and spezza would be amazing ! i don't see montreal as a good trading partner . i'm not to sure about pittsburg either, what would they be willing to cough up and not miss.

personally i think he might be right for one thing, savard to the leafs in 24 hours
both Leafs and Bruins need to go into Free agents knowing what they have

Ekland, well he has been hot lately ,ugh hurts to say I have actually started going there recently.
So he has Savard possibly in LA with Kovy & Toronto also.
Didn't work in Atlanta hopefully the right winger this time & depth helps

there's no way you could play them together unless on the pp. there's only one puck and someone has to get it. it would be pretty cool having savard and kovy on 1 line with maybe stralman and kessel/ bossak / kulemin on the other. it would be pretty hard to check both lines and whoevers not getting checked to death would score a ton.

If HF isn't going to do it, can the Leafs board at least agree to stop/ban posting Eklund BS?

montreal aint gonna happen

its been beaten do death but if pens were to make a serious offer would this make sense for them?:

tor: Staal , salary dump (ex dupuis?)

pitt: Kabby, Kulemin (both extended) + maybe something else

pitts gets a suitable replacement for gonchar, kulemin replaces staals role (downgrade and not a center but they bring similar game imo), they throw in a dump to even out the cap... seems reasonable to me but maybe im overvaluing our guys

If Savard and Kovalchuk were aquired, (which is possible) unless that line could use two pucks at the same time, it would make no sense having Kessel and Kovalchuk on the same line.

Serious question, how is that name not blocked here and how can people still link to those rumors?

He has been called out as a farce yet......
