Marcus Foligno and Zack Kassian have both been named to the OHL Subway Series roster.

Edit: I have just found out that Kassian isn't playing in both because of an OHL rule that doesn't allow a player to play on four consecutive nights.
Same thing with Ellis.

Windsor has games on Wednesday, Nov 10, Friday, Nov 12, Saturday, Nov 13 and Tuesday, Nov 16.
The OHL-Russia Superseries games are Thursday, Nov 11 and Monday, Nov 15. So Kassian and Ellis
are ineligible for the Game #1 based on that consecutive games rule but will be allowed to play in
Game #2 as theres no game on Sunday, Nov 14. I wouldn't be surprise if the reason Kassian and Ellis
just arn't playing in the second game is because it would mean them playing five games in seven days.

Now if Windsor sit Ellis and Kassian in either the Friday or Saturday games - then they could both
play on Monday for the OHL team without the five games in seven days coming into play. Of course
would Windsor risk the chance of them not playing their top two guys together in a meaningful OHL
game so they can represent the OHL in what some say are meaningless games?

LS...

Good to see Foligno light the lamp twice in Sudbury's 3-1 win over the Otters. I hope he can develop more of an offensive game this year as he plays a big role for them. I hope he can make the NHL for us, especially with the family history and and I hope he can be one tough cookie with the ability to pot a few. I'm also cheering for the kid being what happened to his mom last year.

Saw your 09 draft pick Adams vs BU last night. Played a regular shift, on the first PP and was one of the 6 they put on ice, following a time out with a minute to go. He looked real good and was one of their top D. Will be interesting to see how he does the rest of the year and at dev camp next season.

You get the feeling Zack Kassian isnít thrilled about the decision Sabres management made in sending him back to juniors, but he isnít going to even give the team the option next time around.

Since being sent back to Windsor, the reigning Memorial Cup champs, Kassian has been on a tear like none other in his junior career. Heís already notched 17 points in eight games and has stayed out of the box, an issued thatís plagued him in the past.

Zack gathered almost half as many PIMs tonight (7) as he has all season (16).
5 for fighting Dylan King (who got the instigator) and 2 for boarding.
He also had a goal, was +3 and was named 1st star.

Not much of a fight, but the hit that led to the instigator penalty was nice. Kassian restrained himself enough to get his team the instigator penalty which they used to go up 1-0.

highlights from last night, including Kassian's goal and another huge hit at around the 3:00 minute mark. Announcers were praising his game.

Also wouldn't mind the Sabres drafting another Russian 89 this year (8 goals and 17 points through 13)

I think at 1:40 you can see pretty good why everone thinks Kassian is a man among boys... Just look at the guy on the right side and than at Kass!

Yes Kassian was great tonight.Had 3 huge hits, one lead to a fight which wasn;t much of one since King was just interesterd in holding on.king fought with kassian last year and didn;t return after taking a severe beating.I think the Sault was just trying to get him off the ice but it just woke him up.the coach also took his A away which pissed him off further.Kassian reminds me so much of Gillies or Probert. If u woke either up be prepared for a long night

I know I'm old and can be easily confused. But I don't see a link or a post by Chain below yours explaining why Kassian had the "A" taken away.

EDIT: Nevermind found it. Like I said easily confused

I posted this - http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=835520 - thinking it was worth conversation on its own.

Sundher has had a slow start but I don't really know why, as I haven't paid any attention to Chilliwack (they just aren't a very good team).

As for Kassian, his pace right now is about 40, but his point pace is 120.
40 goals is definitely more likely, but a 30-35 goal season would be nice.
Predictions for his points are difficult, but it'd be nice if he kept up his dominance.

I posted this in a thread in the trade forum, but Kassian this year reminds me a ton of Myers two years ago...

The man among boys, the go to guy, the massively improved numbers...

I couldn't be more excited for next year.

The big difference is Kassian is also a year older than Myers was at that point. Kassian's expected to be a man among boys and completely dominate.
