2010 Full Thrasher Draft
Okay; we only have 5 picks; Dudley reconstructing this team to be a bigger, cycling,boardworking pain in the butt team; with that in mind I am looking at forwards with good size and skill; we pick at the back end of a couple of rounds so we may need to reach a bit; since all but one pick is after #45 the odds of any pick making it is very, very low so I suggest we swing for the fences this year;
8. C Ryan Johansen-could possibly develop into out Eric Staal
87. F Sondre Olden-6'4' lanky Norwegian highly skilled-needs physical growth;
101. D Konrad Abeltshauser-6'5" mobile, skilled German, limited games due to injury
a real sleeper; needs to work on acquiring some more nastiness
128. C/W Zach Hyman- 6'2" 195lb. Tier 2; kid can play; headed to Princeton; before
going Tier 2 to stay college eligible ranked with the top guys in this draft;
158. RW Brandon Alderson-OHL rookie 6'4" good hands, good skater needs reps
could turn out in 2-3 years to be a real nice PF with ability to score; lanky
188 LW Corey Durocher-another OHL rookie 6'3' 175lbs; same as Alderson; needs
to fill out physically and get more reps
Anyway, just some thoughts on how we could go; most of these also have later birthdates meaning they have more upside to develop as being younger;
