Leafs Win (Mock) playoff round -- riot pursues

Leaf fans celebrated until all hours of the night as the beloved Toronto Maple Leafs won their first (mock) playoff round in 25 years. The annual (mock) Stanley cup tournament, typically held during draft weekend, was staged at various outdoor parks throughout the GTA.

Unfortunately the celebrations turned sour when a large group of so called "fans" disrupted the peaceful celebrations by torching police cars, breaking window shops and vandalizing government buildings.

400 rioters and looters were arrested.

Organizers have not yet decided whether or not they will continue the mock tournanment, which includes over 320 Torontonian ball hockey players making-up 16 teams.

"what we saw yesterday is a bunch of thugs, not fans " , said one organizer.

Yeah, money that already is spent and no amount of protesting will get back. I do agree with you though that it's a waste of money. The protestors though aren't just protesting that. On the TV in Ottawa this morning I was watching a report about "protesters protesting that another group of protesters hadn't been arrested yet." That is exactly what it said.

It cost a ****ing Billion dollars... The same amount as the annual budget of Toronto.

On TV, they show what they want to show. They make it seem like they're all dumb and protest for no reason while most of them are protesting against Bankers and other legitimate reasons.

You know... it's like a riot in Montreal after a playoff win. Dumb people always take advantage of the situation and do dumb stuff while most of the people were just celebrating.
