Magician Hishon is a reference to the vanishing act he pulls game in and game out. Don't let those 2nd assists and lucky goals fool you, he is invisible out there most of the time.

I thought it was a reference to a really cool card trick he could do...

Do you get to watch the OSA alot? I could understand a guy going at a point per game pace being invisible out there. But Hishon has the most PPG in the entire OHL, could it be that bad?

I guess we could include him, Duchene and Shattenkirk for future hall of famer, and NHL ready Cody Hodgson.

I always get excited when this thread is bumped. So unless the other guys on the list scored tonight too, Hishon is 9th in the OHL

I only saw the first period, but the entire Owen Sound team were just completely overwhelmed by Mississauga.

Mississauga is the top ranked team and Owen Sound is the second best. But I guess they showed that OS still got some ways to go. On the other hand he is +2 for the game.

How does Hishon compare to Martin St. Louis in terms of how they play the game?

He is smaller, weaker, and has less offensive upside.

A future Hockey Retard™ ?

Just for size comparison, St. Louis is listed as 5' 9'' and 177lbs vs 5'10'' and 175lbs for Hishon as a 19 yr old. So physically he is better than St. Louis. On the other hand St. Louis is a late bloomer and did not really become an impact player until his 5th NHL season at age 28.

Does their playing styles match up though? If he stays healthy and on the ice, I think Hishon will certainly hold his own in NHL but what is his ceiling?

I think Derek Roy is probably a bit better comparison.

Maybe even a Patrick Kane lite if he moves to the wing. Hishon's got a sweet backhand similar to Kane.

TSN has Kane listed at 5'10" 178 lbs for comparisons sake. Almost spot on with Hishon.

Just saw the 3rd and Ot/so in the Owen sound vs sarnia game. Hishon had 1 assist but he couldn't even score in the shootout. The guy I was impressed with is this guy Brace, they said he was a rookie . He's lightening fast anyone know when's he's draft year?

Looks like he's a 1993...so he would be eligible this year.

Do you know where he's ranked in the up coming draft?
