2.5 million. So after all that nice stuff that involved good players who have been in the organization for years leaving money on the table, turn around and overpay a bad player from another team. I'm sure Pavs is happy he left Kesler money on the table for this.

You think DW would know something about defenseman.
He's likely to give away Vlasic in the same way at this point.

No offense to Nik Wallin and DW, but this has got to be the most IDIOTIC contract in the league. 2.5m for 1yr?!? Makes me want to become a baseball fan.

Wallin's agent must have done a double take when DW offered that.

Should have enjoyed the playoffs more last season. No way we are sniffing the 2nd round again with the defense we have right now.

This is terrible.

Doug Wilson should be fired. He frankly just doesn't get it.

Absolute fail.

So far it's just a tweet from LeBrun right? I checked capgeek (normally they're good about updating right away) and they still have him for last year's salary. Maybe we should try being a little patient, hopefully it's a horrible mistake by LeBrun.

Ok, I've been in DW corner on a lot of things. But this... I don't understand this. Wallin is not what we need. He is worse then Blake and you want in the top 4. because now we have to trade someone to get a new top 4 d-men. Brutal deal DW. You better have something special in store to blow us all away and get a a new top 4 without trade away major parts.

This coming after passing on Etem and watching him go to the Ducks. Are you trying to piss off Sharks Fans?

Hey Doug, I'm willing to wash Jersey's and stack sticks for 350k.

I think it's a steal.

I feel bad because Doug has shown he is a smart hockey guy on many occasions. Yet he frequently makes errors that are so painfully obvious to the rest of the hockey world, and we, the san jose fans in particular. What does he see that we don't? I too will hope for this being bonus laden, but man I have a feeling this will be a disaster.

I'd be willing to stand there and tell DW how good of a job he's doing for 75k a year, he'll probably raise me to 1m.

There is just no logic. He continues to make our defense slower, and less capable, when clearly it was our biggest issue last year. Plus he let's our all-star goalie go.

I actually kind of hope we don't make the playoffs so he's fired. What a disgrace.

I'll bet he would give you 2.5m if you were injured.
