What do we know about it this year? All I know is it starts tuesday.
Quote:
"We played with each other on some national teams. He’s a Swede, so I will talk to him," said Rundblad, who spoke earlier today with another fellow Swede, Jakob Silfverberg, a second-round selection by the Senators in the 2009 draft. "I talked to him a little bit. He's in Ottawa now (for the Sens' annual development camp, which begins Tuesday)."
Rundblad is expected to arrive in Ottawa this week in time for the club’s prospect development camp. He is signed to play in Sweden for the 2010-11 season and will remain there before coming overseas on a more permament basis.
I would think so. I imagine the Sens will post the schedule and roster tomorrow.
The roster should include the following:

Louie Caporusso
Erik Condra
Jeff Costello
Corey Cowick

Kaspars Daugavins
David Dziurzynski
Derek Grant
Colin Greening

Andre Petersson
Emil Sandin
Jakob Silfverberg

Marcus Sorensen
Mark Stone
Roman Wick

Bryce Aneloski
Ben Blood
Mark Borowiecki
Jared Cowen
Eric Gryba
David Rundblad
Craig Schira
Michael Sdao
Chris Wideman
Patrick Wiercioch
anyone else have the gut feeling runblad is not happy about this at all?
He can take it two ways: either he's pissed at the turmoil and airmiles, or he's ecstatic that he's picked up by a franchise that has full confidence in him.

I have a feeling you're not happy with anything at all. You seem like the kind of person who kicks puppies and then points to random people and calls them depressed.

i hate life and cut myself at night too........ no but seriously I had a gut feeling about him not being happy with whole trade thing... these are just things that worry... and ofcourse I'm happy that he's coming here whered you get the idea i wasn't?

I'm pretty sure he's ecstatic. He will play for a better team, knows Karlsson and the swedish connection, having Forsberg as a coach will probably make many things easier for him. Unless he already have a girlfriend in St. Louis i see no reason for him to be down on this trade.

I think he obviously is shocked and would attribute it more with him being a little disappointed with St-Louis signing and trading him more than anything else. I think that being pretty shocked is something anybody in any situation where someone showed them confidence only to dispense of them would not like.
However, if he was really mad about it, he would of come to the developmental camp. Murray at the draft said he didn't think/would understand if Rundblad didn't want to come, but he is coming now. Furthermore, he has a great relationship with Forsberg who will coach him and prepare him for Ottawa, which also means he will get amazing ice time in all situations in the SEL and great guidance.
Lastly, he obviously is friends with Silfverberg and has been teammates with 3 of the Ottawa Swedish prospects (Petersson, Silfverberg and Karlsson) who all have a good chance at being on the roster in the coming years.
Now I don't want to fall into your game of trying to evaluate a 19 years olds feeling on a few quotes, but I would stack the odds on him being quite happy about the move in the long end once the initial shock about it all wears off.
lol you made a false statement without even putting any research into it... the only pick i did not like was sorensen. and was open about it then and now. It just seems that runblad (a guy who would potentially be one of the top pairing guys on st louis) might be sad to let that go considering he has to be in the limelight of phillips/karlsson/cowen/weirchioch I'm sure he's thinking to himself where he's going to fit in. which is what worries me. see the logic?

Never in a million years would Rundblad be a top pairing in St-Louis.
He would have to pass Pietrangelo (top 5 prospect at the moment) and Erik Johnson (2006 1st overall pick) in the depth chart.
His chance are actually quite better in Ottawa to be a top pairing guy and that is how much it says about St-Louis' future top pairing considering how stacked Ottawa is becoming on D

I'd understand your concern if stories indicating the opposite hadn't already come out. But for your sake: he's not behind Cowen/Wiercioch - they play the left side, he plays the right.

I'm sorry but karlsson and phillips are already our top pairing, were signing a defensman this offseason he will paired with kuba as well which would make our second pairing.... so that leaves, lee, campoli, cowen, weirchioch, runblad I don't know about you but he would most likely get more minutes in st louis.

He is probably 3 years away. 1 more in Sweden and 1 in the AHL. Alot can happen between then. Odds are Campoli and Lee won't be here when he is ready.

he wouldnt hence why they traded him
Their GM said he didnt fit cause Johnson and Pietranglo (both play the right side aswell) were going to be their main PP guys and that Rundblad wouldnt get a fair shake to show his stuff so they decided to change their depth charts a bit.
Here in Ottawa on the PP we will have Karlsson on the right side for one and then Rundblad on the right side for the other.
Ottawa thinks he will be ready after one more year in the SEL

I hope to god campoli and lee are not there at least he'd have a chance. but once it comes time for runblad to come around there will still be phillips/karlsson, kuba/ufa(cowen,weirchioch), carkner/cowen,weirchioch

I didn't think about his right handed shot... that changes a lot.
