Where do you guys think Nicklas Jensen Will slot in?
Early to late 2nd round?
He is projected to be a much bigger talent than anything ever to come out of Denmark, ive seen him, he is a beast!
I HOPE, and think he will dominate the OHL!

I'm going to wait until I see how he does in the OHL, but from what I've seen and read of him so far, he's pretty damn good and already has really decent size, speed, and strength (still plenty of room for improvement in the last 2, obviously). Wouldn't be surprised if 2nd round ends up being a conservative estimate of his draft position. He had JUST turned 17 when the U18 WJCs rolled around, and to say he "looked good" compared to his peers would be an understatement. We'll see how much the extra exposure and experience of playing in N.Am. does for him in a supposedly fairly weak draft year (I still think that the top 15 or so next year compare very favourably so far with the top draft picks from this year, but anyway...).
uh isn't Lars Eller from Denmark? He was a top 15 pick, also Eller was said to be the biggest bestest thing from Denmark....
Yeh, I personally see NJ as a top 10 pick, without a doubt, he is MUCH better than Lars Eller, Mikkel Boedker, Peter Regin or Frans Nielsen, were at his age! And NO he is NOT an early peaker
I am asking where he is projected as of now! Not in a year when he has shown himself in the OHL! but now???

I have to agree with you Ohashi, one never knows if he might BUST in the big O! But I for one do not think so, as you yourself write, as far as you have heard he is a beast, and let me tell you! HE IS!

IMO he is better than both Bødker and Eller when they were 17, and with a better scoring touch.
Best prospect Denmark has ever produced.

Not high enough in NA. But no wonder, since he has played in Denmark so far. This will(if he continues) change next season when he's going to play in the OHL.
I'll keep an eye on Andrews, Desjardins & Clarke when I go to some games this year. I expect & (hope) Andrews & Desjardins to break out this year. Clarke does have great skill but your right he does lack discipline and was benched a few times because of it.
Don't be surprised if Clarke is a 1st or 2nd round pick in 2011. He has the skill, an NHL shot, hits like a pro and is smooth on the skates. He's still 17. He's starting his 3rd year in the league and many expect this will be the year he shows more maturity. If this happens, he could be one of the top players in next years draft. Loads of skill.
Quick question before the year begins. Lets say we miss the playoffs however we don't come in the bottom 3 (AL, SC, RNH). Who do you take? I really like Victor Rask..
Supposed to be another good year for the USA. Here are some of the USNDTP kids for next year,
Rocco Grimaldi
Just heard that Rocco has committed to North Dakota for '11 so he will join Mark MacMillan and Mike Cichy plus Kristo if he's still there. Hope the Habs are keeping an eye out for him this year.
For those who want to know more about the 2011 prospects, here's a good site. The only thing "bizarre" is that the guy who made the site seems to be a crazy fan of Ryan Murphy lol.

As of now Clake would be lucky to be pick in 2011. didnt show any progress since coming over the Q in 2008. undisciplined on and off the ice has turn off the scout on him. Plus he was in his coach doghouse most of the past year. if he turn it around next year attitude wise he might get pick. he's a poor man Kevin Marshall skill wise but he's character & leadership nothing close to Marshall

Obviously you're not a fan of his or know much about what's going on in Halifax. He played the same amount of games as his 1st year, almost tripled his point production inhis 2nd year on the last place team. Was in the dog house on two ocassions and there has never been any mention of any issues off ice with him or in the dressing room in his 2nd year. If you're around the rink in Halifax, he definitely shows much better than Marshall at the same age, fans love him and the coaches used him in every situation. If there were issues Russell would have moved him. Most beleive he'll double or triple his point production in the coming season. What planet are you on? Still in Lewiston when he was 15? Most have moved on from his year in Lewiston, apparently you haven't. If you talk with his team mates they'll tell you he's all team on the ice and in the dressing room. At least that's what we hear here in Halifax.

Clarke is on the small side and has some big time issues with disipline. At this point I can't see him in the top 2 rounds because of that.

maybe your too much of a Mooseheads fan ? because clearly Marshall was better than him at the same age. not even close imo. Clarke is a talented headcase. top2 round talent but ND attitude & discipline as of now.
Guys, here's the link for the mynhldraft mock draft: http://www.mynhldraft.com/NHL-Mock-Draft/ . As usual, mynhyldraft.com has always good mock drafts and their predictions are pretty accurate. That being said, they've placed the Canadiens 17th so it means they predicted that we're going to make the playoffs and will finish 5th in the Eastern conference. I'm very happy to see that Jonathan Huberdeau is ranked 19th and Tomas Jurco at 16th. It's still early but the draft looks very promising.

Looks like a strong year for the Q! Number 2, 16, 19, 23, 27
2010 had only 1
2009 had 4 but 3 of them were late round.
Here's a link to Wikipedia about the NHL 2011 draft. They show us the ISS top prospects as of July 1st. We can see that it's really different from the mynhldraft.com mock draft. BTW, some of you guys talked about Nick Jensen and he seems to be ranked pretty low at 26th. Somehow, it looks really deep in the first round and guys like Victor Rask at 14th shows that.
