Grebeshkov a good fit?

Denis was just ignored by Nashville and will be cheap.....

6'0 209 lbs, 39 pts 2 years ago and he was a 1st round pick.

I think it could be a good pick up if we can't get Volchenkov.

I love Grebeshkov, solid top 4 mobile dman, can chip in 40 points, and help on the powerplay

Exactly what i'm thinking and also he will come cheap.....and we can't afford guys like Volchenkov or Hamhuis at the moment. With a trade, we don't know but now it's not even an option.

that's why he could be a solution imo

He'd be an upgrade over Bergeron, but his salary was 3.150 mill last year.

I'm guessing he'll be looking for a contract around 3 mill, which we don't have the space for.

EDIT: BTW, I'm a big fan of his.

Not really sure why he'd come cheap, tho'... presumably that's precisely why Nashville hasn't signed him?

I would love Grebechkov but again, we don't have any room in D. Unless PG finds a way move either Spacek or Hammer.

His QO is like 2.5 mill, or more.

It's really as simple as that. We should all just take a big old break on speculating until Gauthier frees up cash, which is a big "if' as it stands.

Why are we still talking about our defense when Gauthier said himself that it was set for next year?
