What difference does it make? Do you think Moreau is moveable without an NMC?
Yes. Easily. Not for a high-value return, but he can be moved.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
yeah, Gonchar is going to be making 3 and 2/3rds times what Moreau will be making,
and for 3 times as long.
To be fair he's about 30 times the player Moreau is.
Probably in the minority, but that's the contract I wanted the CBJ to give Gonchar. Much better then the Redden contract. I think the Sens did well, but that's just me.
So now it's not that he can't be moved, but that he can't be moved for something of high value? Criminy, but you've got impossible standards.
Moving guys for speculative 7th round picks only helps out JMac Jr.'s pocketbook. It does nothing to help the team in the short or the long term outside of that. So, from my perspective, an NMC on a guy with trade value versus no NMC on a guy with little to no trade value is a wash. From JMac Jr.'s perspective? Well, I couldn't care less.

The Pens are a different team without Gonchar, look at the PP numbers when he was hurt, dreadful. He will be missed by the Pens.
Maybe a tad too much money to pay him, but he is a great player. The Pens do not win the Cup without Gonchar.

Gonchar is money.
Only reason it's a little much is the injury history. Having said that, I'd rather have Gonchar for 60 games then Campbell for 82.
