Buy low, sell high. Maybe Murray can offer us a scratch and dent price.

Lord knows this has ruined some great careers. Hopefully TooToo (not that he's "great") doesn't join the likes of Kevin Stevens, Theo Fleury and the late Bob Probert. Fleury and Stevens and particular could have had amazing careers if their personal demons hadn't driven them to the bottle.

And worse, sadly.

Best wishes to Jordin.

Anyone happen to read Fluery's book? Whether you like him or not, he is certainly a legitimate hockey resource, definitely worth the read

No, I like to read but I'm not going to waste my time on Fleury (no offense intended).

Hope Tootoo fixes whatever issue(s) he's having. Having said that, I hope he ends up in the East so I don't have to see him much anymore.

The Canadiens just acquired James Wisniewski for a second round pick in 2011 and a 5th round conditionnal pick in 2012.

At that price the Jackets could have used him, no?

3 goals, 18 assists...

He is a defenseman that can actually produce, we don't use those kind of players here

In a perfect world, Wisniewski is an ideal guy to run your second power play unit. For us, he'd be running the #1 unit. He can make some boneheaded decisions from time-to-time in the defensive zone, but he plays with a lot of physicality. In other words, he is what we were sold that Tyutin would be and at about the same price. Certainly an improvement from Strahlman.

But, no way Howson moves two picks when we've done so well in rounds 2-5.

Steven Stamkos costs the Bolts at least one point...takes a penalty with 1:50 to go, Bruins cash in with 20 seconds left. Boston wins.

That was a junk boarding call too, it was a shoulder-to-shoulder hit

it was questionable...but definately not a junk call...bad timing, bad spot to hit him...still not sure he was square shoulder to shoulder...

Not feeling as bad about that Vancouver game considering they just bent Philadelphia over very much the same way

We need that 5th rounder to make an underwhelming pick with at next year's draft, now....can't be tradin' them thar picks to be used on roster players, now...

I know this is non Blue Jackets talk but didn't know where to post this.

The Devils placed Brian Rolston on re entry waivers. If we pick him up, I think the hit would be around $2.5 million/season. He has 1 more year left and is 37 years old.
Would anyone trade Umberger or Umberger+defensemen for a solid defensemen and then pick up Rolston to replace Umberger? Haven't seen Rolston play, does he flat out suck now and would he be another Clark/Moreau?

Montreal only gave up picks, we'd have to move salary, too.
