Thats why i want new owners so bad, we only have to move salary because our owners dont have a commitment to winning

**Edit** I checked our cap numbers and its scary that we only have $3m of cap space for this team Howson's put together. Atlanta has 5 points more then we do and has $14m in cap space...holy poor spending batman!

Aren't those two comments contradictory, BjN? The payroll is not too low, but I agree that the money is not being well-spent.

Well I made the first comment, thinking we had more, then checked the numbers and to my horror saw how close we are to the cap. Very scary knowing this is Howson "capoligy skills" at work. I have to think the Commodore contract could go down as one of the top 3 worst contracts in the whole NHL in the 2000's, one of the others probably being the Redden contract in which Howson tried to throw even more money at!

People on the trade board made it sound as though Rolston's been downright bad this season. I can't say one way or another as I haven't seen the Devils play.

I'd love to have AS's scoring (just cant type his name lol), but the last think we need is another Charmin soft top 6 player. The slap fight is just classic

Nabokov is going to have to go through waivers whenever he signs, good chance to ****-block a team. Yes, I know we have 2 goalies already, I don't care.

According to http://twitter.com/sportsnetmurph Ryan Parent will be waived by Vancouver tomorrow. Don't know if that would be something Howson should look into or not. Seemed to have potential a while back but wasn't putting it together in Philly. And I guess not in Vancouver either. I don't know if we need another 'has potential but hasn't performed' type of player. On the other side, his contract is less than a mil this season, and an even mil next then RFA, and he would at least be a different defenseman on this team.

I'd probably still pass.

Dallas re-inked with Daley (6 years, 19.8 mil) but still hasn't with Richards?

For the gamers among us:

http://jonkeen.blogspot.com/2010/12/...brate-win.html

Awesome! Fond memories of that game. Between that and Bill Walsh College Football, I think they lopped of .10 of my grade point in college my last year or so. Well, that and a few choice beverages.

Slacker. Glad we didn't trade for him.

(and the little voice inside me prays that Rick Nash will now make his 26 game stretch look like child's play)

The only thing Rick Nash has ever done for 26 games in a row is eat a plate full of hot dogs before and after the game.

LOL Gawd, you guys are BRUTAL!!

Ok, so I, for one, will NOT be rooting for Sid during the Winter Classic just because the perfection is so glaringly vanilla and boring and envious. Instead I will cheer my heart out for Mr. Showboat himself, Ovie!! Just cause down and dirty and win at all costs excites me much more!! plus, I don't think I'd have to worry about Ovie stealing my shampoo and moisturizer.

I have to say, his point streak was beyond unbelievable. Somebody doing it in today's league... I never thought that would be possible. I watched the majority of these games and really, really enjoyed watching the streak happen.

For Pittsburgh as a team I'd think the end of the streak is a good thing, since there's no more talk about the streak but more about the team itself. And as a team they haven't been playing good hockey.
