Along with Moreau and Nilsson.

Someone will pick him up. Maybe DIEHARD will sign him, make him wear his (DIEHARD's) O'Sullivan jersey and bring Patrick to Kings' games this season.

Patrick's dad cares and he is going to kick your ass for that comment...and DIEHARD cares. So does DIEHARD's jersey.

He's getting bought out and then probably KHL bound.

That trade is pretty bizarre

I think all three teams probably regret that trade and would be better off with draft picks or prospects.

POS looked awful in EDM. A perfect example of a guy with all the tools and no toolbox. I really thought he was on his way to being something special. Boy was I wrong.

Cole has gotten worse each season from when they won the cup. Carolina still on the hook for 3 million this season.

Williams pretty much the same situation as Cole, looked somewhat promising early last season but was relegated to a healthy scratch by the time the playoffs happened. And Kings still on the hook for 3.5 million.

Are they clearing room for Jagr? He would be a nice mentor for Hall. Nevermind, Jagr re-upped in May to stay in Russia.

NHL radio had Nashville interested in Sully.

There is no doubt that he has skills. The question now is heart and work ethic. If anything will ever light a fire under one's butt, you must believe that getting waived is one of those things.

I wish him luck. If you had to deal with what he's had to deal with, might you all not have issues of your own?

PS apparently Pat Quinn had issues with more players than just Sully

I could see Detroit taking a shot with him.

As do I and good call.

Nashville makes sense and who knows, maybe Atlanta, Phoenix or Dallas will take a run at him. Doesn't the team that picks him up (on re-entry) only have to pay 1/2 of his salary?

Sully was bought out, he is a free agent.

I think he have a bright future in KHL. He's too lazy, it's too bad because he's not bad at all in fact, but he will never be what everyone expected from him.

For me it's WIN, WIN, LOSE.

Canes added Cole and the Hurricanes went into the playoffs hot losing to the stanley cup champions in the conference finals. Hardly a "loss" for the Canes. He was really good for them getting Staal going at the right time.

The Kings added Williams for O'Sullivan and a 2nd and I think he has been doing good in LA. O'Sullivan and a 2nd? No real value given up (no, a new Simmonds wouldn't have been picked), and good value coming back . Williams might have been injured half the season, but he brings somthings sorely lacking both then and now- stanley cup pedigree. I'd do that trade tomorrow, with the knowledge we have today.

The Oilers? Buying out that contract and after that kind of season, probably a "loss".

Did they get rid of the puking smiley...because that would be the perfect one for the thought of picking up Ethan Moreau.

No one offered a draft pick at the deadline, no one claimed him for free on waivers. He was the captain of the team and was waived, that right there should just tell you how bad he is at hockey.

This guy was one of the worst players on one of the worst teams in recent memory, and he doesn't play nearly as tough as he used to.
