Alexander Frolov

He's been on a decline points-wise (71, 67, 59, 51), but made 4m last season. What kind of contract do you expect to be thrown at him July 1st?

He's a second line winger who can/has been a first line winger. Around 2.7-3.2 million seems about right.

$4m - $5m seems like the approximate range on a longer term deal. Might get over $5m if its under 3 years.

I think he is worth around 3-4, but with the severe lack of quality in this FA pool (and this scares me) it wont surprise me if he commands a 5-6 million dollar per year deal (maybe more) over 5-10 seasons. Heck if Brian Campbell can get over 7, anything is possible

Now lets be realistic no way he will sign for under 3 million. I think he might go to the KHL because like someone said before he could get 6 million most likely even more. In the NHL though his price will range from 4 to 5 million.

He isn't declining............
he made 1/2 of his points then 1/3 in 4 years he will hopefully raise to 1/10

just kidding.........

just try to figure out when our moron coach stepped in and when did his numbers decline...........

He is worth every peny on a real hockey team.
I would throw 4+ million at him if i would be the Red Wings or Preds GM...
doesn't know exactly how it works salary whise

I don't see him getting more than 4 mil... For example BERTUZZI makes less than 2 mil / year, and his point production is not too bad compared to Frolovs... Ok, Detroit is detroit, bertuzzi is much older, and maybe frolov has more value than points he is making... But still... I could give him as much as Filppula does... No more!!!

Probably 4-5 mil if he stays in the NHL. Good chance he's heading to KHL for tax free money.

I agree, he's worth between 3.75 - 4.5 but after Kovalchuk he's the best winger under 30 available so I'm expecting 5 or more.

He's better than Ryder and Blake and look at the type of deals they were able to land on the UFAgent market. I'm thinking something along the lines of what Gionta got last summer, about 5mil/year. If he signs really long term (ie 8 years or more) it might be a lower cap hit, but on a 3-5 year deal I'd expect about 5mil/year..

Somebody will overpay him, and be thrilled with his play for about 30 games.

I bet he ends up on the Senators.

I have a feeling Murray already likes him, as he was the centerpiece of that rumored Sens/Kings/Sharks Heatley deal a year ago.

They also need someone to replace Cheechoo.

3.75. I love Fro, but anything over that is too much.

Don't let Kurrilino fool you. Froloaf doesn't hustle. I'd say he's worth 3.5M. He'll get more from some moron who overpays like Sather.

don't let Cook 24 fool you. Frolov has been among the most complete forwards to wear a Kings uniform over the last decade.

Not! I still don't get the man love for Frolov by kings fans. The guy didn't hustle. I guess kings fans are so used to mediocracy they can't see what a good player is. His defensive game was way overrated, and he turned the puckover in the neutral zone once a game. Wasn't he one of like 2 players on the kings this season that had a negative +/-....ya I thought so.

4.5-5.5

You could get him for 18-22 M on a 4 year deal

If frolov deserves 5.5, Kovalchuk deserves 11.

I'd say he's looking for 5-6 mil, might get overpaid it, but more likely is worth 4 million max 4.5 million.
