Preissing (COL), Pandolfo, Peters (NJ), Nokelainen (PHX), Dawes (CGY) on unconditional waivers. Eligible to be bought out if they clear.

Peters' 2-year deal remains one of the best "what in the hell" moments from last summer.

Maybe that's what Darcy and Lou were laughing about at the draft.

We should go after Dawes or Nokelainen.

I know someone close to peters who told me he was miserable in Jersey, so this might be good for him.

No NHL career might be good for him? Ha.

Tough ending to a tough career. Hats off to Peters and people like him that will do anything to be a part of the game.

Once upon a time I would have liked Pandolfo on our team.

I'd take Dawes.

Maybe some AHL team will sign him this summer - that's where he should have stayed from the onset. He never had any skills to warrant an NHL job.

Hmm but this would be his 7th year, so obviously you are incorrect.

I wouldn't rule out Regier signing Peters to a 2-way contract.

Well, I don't think he'd go to the AHL but, since the Sabres are sorely lacking in toughness, would it really hurt?

Since Peters is a waste at even strength and can't hit anyone and clearly doesn't generate any sort of fear for someone to NOT do something to a guy on his team... how again is he "tough" in an actual hockey playing, stick on the ice, non-staged fight kind of way?

Huh? He can hit, protect and is a good scrapper and teammate. He's not a goal scorer or playmaker.

I feel so honored and privileged to have gone to that game on February 20th (don't remember the year but not too long ago) vs Philly when he scored- truely a "once in a blue moon" moment.

I think Kaleta set him up for that one...

Peters can't skate nor hit nor score. I don't remember a single hit he laid.

I did catch a highlight that he tattooed someone down in Jersey earlier this year -- it was impressive but at this point seems to be blind squirrel territory. That was the nut he turned up right there. Can't hit what you can't catch, as the old saying goes. And since I don't ever recall seeing him churning to get somewhere with intent... a guy isn't going to catch much when he's out for a pleasure skate.

Guys like Shelley hit and block shots, play with passion and energy. Heck, off the juice, Peters is not a better fighter than Eric Boulton and Boulton goes out looking to run people over when he isn't "just" there to throw the mitts.

Resident Tough Guy IS Andrew Peters?

On a serious note, he's a good locker room guy and I hope he finds a home, but I just don't want that home to be anywhere near Buffalo affiliated hockey teams.
