Seems kind of odd that Lawson is going. Judging by who's going, it seems more like all the new guys will just be familiarizing themselves with each other. Nevertheless, it's comforting knowing that's only a small percentage of our prospect pool, and that's not a bad group right there.
thats very good- wouldn't that imply that he is looking to graduate early?
The NCAA has started to allow student-athletes to enroll in the second summer session before their freshman year. It helps to get a head start on the academic side and to acclimate before the fall semester (and in some cases fall practice) starts. From the athletic side, it also helps to get high school kids in daily contact with a strength and conditioning coach instead of trying to complete their training at home. Although in Alt's case I doubt availability to training equipment is a major issue.
An early start combined with regular summer sessions in later years makes it possible to finish early, although it is harder with the winter sports when the regular season runs into both semesters.
