Good, solid depth dman signing that has some offensive abilities. Contract is reasonable & only for 2 years. Well done Tambo.

"Nice to hear he's an Oilers fan"

Pierre - 'The money helped"

Like why the **** would you even have to say that?

OMG shut up Pierre. 1.8mill is not an overpayment for Foster...but Armstrong at 3mill is a great deal, yeah right get a clue.

"Grew up with an Oilers jersey on my wall, great to come to a Canadian city". Mentioned he's excited to be a part of something(rebuild). Taylor Hall. Good, positive words from Foster on TSN. Pierre Mcguire made some ridiculous comments today.

He grew up an Oilers fan too! Hes a good locker room guy and has a lot of character. Tambo fills another hole at a very good price.

For those of you who are watching TSN, how did McGuire react to the Jokinen rumors?

He sounds pumped up!

Quick but very nice interview.

He sounds motivated to come in and play, so that sells me on him right there.

Not too shabby.

I think that his upside will not quite be what Tambo is probably forecasting. But at 1.8 for only two seasons, I think it is a good move.

Adding to that is the fact that he is a very classy player, good leadership which I think management is going after to nurture our younger players. We can always use more leadership.

This coming from a guy who thought signing a 29 point third liner to 3 million a year was a value signing?

Mcguire is drunk. A right handed bomb getting fed one timers from Hemmer can easily score 10 to 15 goals next year. That my prediction.

As Stauffer likes to say, one of the worst kept secrets in EDM is that Strudwick is coming back next year.

McGuire has an agenda against the Oilers. If it wasn't obvious before, it's obvious now. I'm surprised that he wasn't openly weeping on television when the Oilers took his "boy" Taylor Hall instead of the Bruins.

Finished 20th overall in scoring among D last year. Looking at the salaries of the players who finished ahead of him, this looks like a very good deal. B+

I can't recall but I was completely baffled after hearing Sutters quotes stating that he didn't think Jokinen fit into the locker room. Yet he's coming back to the exact same place.

Re: McGuire

It was an unbelievable display. Not only did he dislike the Foster signing, but he actually whined incessantly until the other guys on the panel had to shut him up.
