Guys left you think Gauthier could possibly look at

I would like to see some of these cheap options:

Lee Stempniak
Eric Nystrom
Dustin Boyd
Eric Belanger
Shaone Morrisonn
Shane Hnidy
Chris Higgins
Denis Grebishkov
Carlo Colaiacovo
Willie Mitchell
Ryan Johnson

Any other options, again cheap affordable upgrades. Not like a Frolov or something, just upgrade our bottom 6 a bit and maybe add a dman.

Matt Cullen would be nice, but not at any price.

Lee Stempniak - probably asking 3.5 - 4 million
Eric Nystrom - would be a nice bottom 6 guy
Dustin Boyd - hopefully PG re-signs this guy
Eric Belanger - probably too expensive as a bottom 6
Shaone Morrisonn - no
Shane Hnidy - no
Chris Higgins - no
Denis Grebishkov - no
Carlo Colaiacovo no
Willie Mitchell - no
Ryan Johnson - no

My gut tells me PG is going the trade route.

Probably the reason why he's still not signed yet. If we can make somewhat of a miracle, we should stay close by when the demand will become lower.

With some money, you'd hope that Lombardi, Moore, Boyd, Nystrom, Stempniak, Burish, Veilleux and Bélanger deserves some consideration.

Considering Lombardi was a 1-2 centre in Phoenix, I doubt he wants to be a number 3 centre in Montréal... Toronto still needs centres.

Eric Nystrom would look pretty damn good in our bottom 6.

We need to add grit and some offense to our bottom six, our bottom six right now will be an absolute joke for other teams to play against.

Lee Stepniak + Brian McGrattan would be awesome additions. They should not cost that much either.

I would like two bottom-6 forwards. One upper-end one (like Moore, not necessarily Moore), and then the other one can be a younger guy or a tougher guy. Moore and Boyd would satisfy me, for example.

A guy like Belanger would be an acceptable substitute for Moore if his price could be dropping any.

I'd rather have the guys like Konopka or Asham than the pure toughguys if we went that direction for the other bottom-6 forward.

What's wrong with Grebeshkov? He wants too much cash? Going to the KHL or is he just generally as bad as MAB?
