SO how many times have I seen this. A media person quits then he gets a bunch of awards and soon after he is in hospital with some terminal thing. Now I hope I am wrong here but just what exactly does JD have?

I hope he gets well very soon and that this episode makes him more decided to control his weight wich will be the cause of many problems in years to come if unchecked.

C'mon Jacques: get better!

I always had the utmost respect for this man and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. All the best for Mr. Demers and his close ones.

I wrote a letter to Jacques Demers in 1995 shortly before going into the hospital for surgery for colon cancer. I recieved a reply from Mr Demers with the most encouraging words. 10 years later I was fortunate enough to meet Mr Demers at a conference. He is as genuine as they get.

Get well soon Jacques
