Where to frame jerseys in Edmonton?

^

i got a jersey autographed recently and was wondering where to frame it? will any framing shop do it?

i googled it and came across the company "vestate" who to my understanding does all the framing boxes for the oilers (according to connect2edmonton)

has anyone ever dealt with them?

alternatively, has anyone ever framed a jersey by themselves?

thanks much

I framed a Gordie Howe jersey at Michaels (chain store). Really expensive.

I worked at the warehouse/framing shop for Editions Gallery in WEM for a while, I know they do really great jobs with jerseys. Not cheap, though.

They did a great job but it was around $500, although I did use an expensive frame...they will give you lots of options to alter the price.

I have 5 jerseys framed in Jersey boxes that came from Vestate. Best way to go, you can take them out of the box if you like, and they display nicely.

This! Brian there is a friend of mine and does great work. They do lots for the Eskimos as well. You might pay cheaper at Michaels, but you get what you pay for when you have a teenager doing the framing. I have heard a lot of people had to get items re-framed because of their work.

Time Frame all the way.

The small shop in the Clareview arena does it for a fairly reasonable price. I've had 3 done over the years, a Tracy Ham signed Esk jersey, a 2003 team signed Oiler jersey and a Hemsky signed Oiler jersey.

its an authentic team canada olympic 2010 jersey in white, jonathan toews 16

i only wore it once, to the gold medal thing at commonwealth. as all the players passed all i could do was give high fives cause i didnt have a sharpie. then i saw toews coming down the aisle on the side i was on and i asked everyone around me if they had a sharpie. nobody had one

as he came closer i noticed he had his own

so i pushed ahead of everyone and stuck my back out and he signed it right on his number. i was stoked lol

edit - ill add time frame and the clareview shop to my list, thanks guys

I will agree with the people that have recommended Time Frame. Brian is a really nice guy and does great work. back when they were in Millwoods Town Center he used to come over to where I work (Game On Sports) and pick up supplies for his framing jobs and he is a great guy.

Did you have them all done up at the same time, do you remember how much it cost ?

[edit] I checked/phoned on that Vestate place and you need an Industry related business license to purchase from them, they don't sell to the general public.

man my knowledge of framing is off. i recently got mps, eberle, pitlick and hall to sign my jersey and was also thinking of a frame. ill just hang it on the wall with my canada jersey then spent what appears to be hundreds of dollars overpriced. anyone hear with knowledge of frames care to say why its so high. I thought like 100 bucks or something

I do some side work for a guy who is in the sports memorabilia and framing business. We do frames that includes an italian wood frame, museum glass, and usually an 8x10 of the player, and a hockey card (rookie card if we can find it). This is done for $500. Feel free to shop around, but i guarantee that you won't find a better price for what we do. PM me if you are interested and i can give you some pictures of sample work or answer any questions.

Also, as a side note for my fellow Oiler fans- I just ordered a whole bunch of Oiler jerseys (the home and away (blue and white, not vintage colors), all with authentic autographs and proof of authenticity (holograms). These jerseys are being sold at cost ($175) right now to clear them out. Again, PM me if anyone is interested.

Sorry totally forgot about that. I have a buddy that I buy them through. It's too bad, it's the best way to go, it's nice to be able to get at the jersey if you wanted. For what it's worth, price was between 300 and 350. I've bought them over the course of a few years and can't quite remember exact cost.

Hey,
I am just wondering if you still frame jerseys? If so how much do you charge. Please let me know. Where are you located?

Thanks
Kelly

Take it to the guy at Big League Sports...he is an awesome dude with some really cool collectors items and does framing as a hobby.

I discovered him after I got a print done through Michaels and he pretty much laughed at me because I couldve paid half the price for a better frame.
