Yeah, Pickard on this one.

Add Maxwell. Higher ceiling than Patterson, plus he actually plays. Singelhandedly almost took away Windsor's shot at the Memorial Cup this year.

His junior team for atleast another 2 seasons. Then likely the AHL as the starter in Erie!

Interesting why people think Pickard will be so much better than Cohen, Barrie or Holos. All three have proven more.

Anyways, I went with Holos again.

That's my thought process as well...I want to see Pickard produce in the AHL first as a proving ground.

A lot of people that were behind Campbell are behind Pickard now..and I would say the chances that both of them become solid legit #1's is pretty slim. That's not a statement against Pickard or Campbell but just playing the %'s.

The same logic can be applied about Hishon in ranking him over Gaunce and Stoa.

That's also somewhat flawed logic.

Just because in the past players (or goalies in this case) haven't turned out at a certain rate doesn't mean that it will be the case here.

I hate that kind of thinking.

"Look at all the bust goalies in the first rounds of past years!!, that means Campbell/Pickard/XX won't turn out!".

Holos for me.

Not sure Pickard will ever amount to more than a backup at this point but am confident in Holos being a top-4 dman.

We don't exactly have a great track record of goalies.

geez...I'm not going to go through the old goalie argument again here.....but I see Pickard as playing the same role as Budaj....Nothing more nothing less....if he is our starter in 4 years, I'll buy you some preseason tix...how about that? Agree to disagree.....I like Pickard and hope he succeeds...I'm glad we didn't spend a 1st rounder on a goalie and got the best one we could in the 2nd....I'm just kinda weary of picking up a new goaltender every year that's done well and hits the AHL and doesn't tear it up. One of these times we'll hit on a goaltender I'm sure (and I can't wait for it to happen), but so far it's been like throwing darts at a dartboard after throwing back 9 stiff jaeger bombs at the Lancer Lounge.

Wasn't Holos a 2008 pick?
