Well this is a true test of where this team is this year. I hope that we beat this team as much as we beat any all year. I hear about Canadian all year from a friend Lets beat them in montreal so he'll have no real excuses. Go Kings Go

Desharnais will be a healthy scratch which is a wise decision

LA would devour him

and isn't Gilbert back?

suspended vs pit + cgy + to

i doubt we play Greene, he's too slow for Montreal

Price is saving about any shot he faces so far. They just have to keep getting their bodies to the net along with the puck. One or the other doesn't seem to work.

Low expectations tonight. Team has had it too easy last couple of games in terms of generating chances and getting to the net; Weber is one of the only d-men in the league that can neutralize Kopi with few issues. Unless our depth shows up big on Price, this one may hurt. Will also depend heavily on special teams, as Weber bombs are gonna wreck Budaj...need to find a way to get one ourselves

Only thing I expect is one "Montreal home cookin'" call

Price, he is the entire MTL team pretty much.

I honestly think MTL is a 5-15 Draft pick team without him.

That's how good Carey Price is.

I'm more optimistic. Kings are developing some chemistry and confidence and Montreal's schedule has been pretty soft so far. Still, you are right in that Price can win this by himself.

correction

Price + Trap = that damn good

which will happen tonight

expect a few 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 counter attacks

that's all Montreal can count on

and that's how Montreal will win

Yeah don't get me wrong I think we'll play well and impose our game. Just much less comfortable knowing that guys will have to pay the price (giggles to self) to score and that MTL will be fine with us taking outside shots while playing hard defense themselves. These are the kinds of games we tend to take what an opponent gives us instead of pushing harder.

I'm starting to get excited now. Home early from work, ticket already placed in my bag, Drew Doughty t-shirt freshly washed, ironed and put on. All I need now is a bit of food then I'm off to the bar near the Bell Centre for my pre-match beer (or 5)

Montreal only has two losses on the season so far. I like our chances.

I wouldn't expect anything less. They should just leave the LA penalty box open tonight.

Wonder what's the update on Gabby. Kopi is missing his sniper.

From Sutter on 11/4 on McNabb, Andreoff and Gabby

Bigger question is whether Gravel will be sent back to the minors once McNabb is back.

Sutter hasn't said yet. I think he will probably keep the lineup as is. You don't want to mess around with something that works.
