Oi vey, i'd feel pretty awful for Cleveland sports fans in general if something like that happens.

Dudley went on TMZ Live and said basically the same thing, but he elaborated a little and then just got sidetracked with some Nets bashing and New York media market stuff. Said he talked to Amare, but wouldn't say who his source was when Harvey pushed him on the issue, just that it was someone with connections to Knicks who called him.

There was something he said that gave me the impression that he was with someone when they got the phone call from a knicks guy.

I was really just kidding. I have nothing against Cavs fans. Although I do take issue with their idiot mayor who said something to the effect of "Who would want to live in New York?" when it was mentioned that the Knicks might be interested in signing Lebron. That guy is a tool.

Eh, no biggie. With the trash smell and heat lately, I'm starting to agree with him

The City did certainly stink this afternoon. But I still take it over Akron any day of the week.

Concierge at a hotel spotted him at Sparks?

Next up, someone will tell us what kind of TP he buys at the store.

I'm inclined to believe this though why the hell would someone make this up?

No idea who it could of been. I don't follow basketball (I had no idea who Dudley was until about 4 or 5 hours ago), I just can't ignore this story, so I embraced it. There was that Chad OchoCinco about New York State of Mind, etc too. It could just all be idle talk. Alan Hahn keeps tweeting about how the media are getting played like fiddles, no reason to think that would extend to other players.

I bet Nike has printed up shirts for all of the contending cities anyway.

Yeah I don't use twitter so I'm not really sure. But that's an ******* thing to post something like that without it being true and get your fellow Knicks fans hopes up.

Jared dudley and Amar'e were teammates last season. Players talk with players. I don't doubt for a second that he reached out to Amar'e to find out the inside scoop. Amar'e has been outspoken all this time and even hinted on his Twitter account that LeBron is signing with the Knicks:

http://twitter.com/Amareisreal/status/17984986943

Connect the dots, folks. 99% of the signs point to him signing with the NYK. He ain't going to MIA so he can share the spotlight with two other players.

I don't see him going to Miami now with Bosh and Wade signing there

He wont be a Clipper. I can't see him in NJ with them getting shut out.

Would he hold a PC to say he's staying? Probably not, but it's possible. Chicago got Boozer, we got Amar'e. It's coming down to the Knicks and Bulls

I watched the Bosh and Wade conference today. I saw zero indication that he was going to Miami. If he were, why in the world would he have a separate press conference rather than just announcing it with Wade and Bosh?

Second there's not enough basketballs to go around with both Wade and Lebron. It's the same argument I had when people mentioned Lebron going to Chicago because Rose is there.

Third, Wade discussed building a team with role players and that's how you win championships. If Lebron is there all the cap money is wrapped into 3 players. How can you possibly get quality role players with that much money on 3 players?

Too many fans think this is video game.

Several reports mentioned that the Bulls front office felt that LeBron would sign with the Knicks, and so preemptively (perhaps, too late to begin with) decided to sign Boozer to eliminate the possibility of the Nets or Heat signing him.

I've always viewed the Knicks favorably over the Bulls for one reason: cap flexibility; in the short term and long term. Chicago has to re-sign Noah next off season and Rose in 2012. Its just very unlikely for them to be able to afford to sign four players to max contracts. They would be in cap hell for the foreseeable future. The Knicks, however, could be in a position to have an additional $15M to play with again next off-season.

Justin Tuck, John Starks, Chris Rock, Fat Joe, Mike Dantoni, Spike Lee, D'brick and Amare are out at dinner with Houston right now. Where are you getting this Lebron from?
