I'm no habs fan, but lotter pick really???? I don't think so, the habs will finish a lot higher then that. Price is a good goalie, they're defence is above average, and they got mad skill up front (gomez, camms, gionta, pleckanec etc). I don't think they'll make the playoffs, but they sure as hell wont be bottom of the league either.
Alottery pick could be possible if the price does what he did last year.

Kessel with one trillion goals. Price retires to a mental institution following the game.
Me think if that will be the score all habs fans retire to a mental institution. Price will just wave his hands.

Edit: Actually 10-0 will do the trick as well...

If they had Halak I would've booked it as a loss for sure, but with Price I think we have a really good chance to win.

Dumping Halak and signing the horrid siv Carey Price has got to be one of dumbest moves an NHL GM has ever pulled off.

If Price starts for the Habs i guarantee a Leafs win.

The NHL is having an event at Dundas Square called NHL Faceoff 2010. Check it out:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/newsindex.htm...=/faceoff/2010

They'll be showing the game on the screens down there.

My patience has ran out and I am going to freeze myself so my buds can wake me up around 6pm on Thursday!!! The anticipation is killing me man! Oh and I think the Leafs are going to win the first game 5-0 with Kessel getting his first Leaf hat trick, Versteeg with 3 assists, Bozak with 2 assists, Kulimen scoring with his wicked release.. and the wild card Schenn scoring a floating wrister by price from the hash marks! JS with the obvious start and 24 saves is good enough for the SO.. I am not superstitious and you shouldn't be either! lol

GO LEAFS GO.. any one rallying before the game or I guess they have that tailgate party outside the ACC.. hmmf maybe I'll go watch it down there and try to sneak past security errr I didn't type that

Cammalleri should be suspended, hopefully Price is still shaky, with that in check If we can come out of the gate flying Thursday, we will definitly pull out a convincing win. Im excited to see P.K. hopefully get hammered by one of our big boys (Brown, Phaneuf, Komi, Schenn, etc.)

agreed. You can't have players swinging hockey sticks with full force at peoples faces with the intention to cause harm and not do anything about it. Gary better grow a pair or go back to being a laughing stock.

Kubina was suspended for a game or two from a cross check in the pre-season.

I'm not trying to put a ton of pressure on the first game, but it would be huge to get a W just due to last years start.

I'd imagine it would take a lot of pressure off the team.

Probable Habs starting line-up

Gionta-Gomez-Pouliot
Eller - Plekance - Kostitsyn
Moen - Boyd - Lapierre
Darche - Halpern - Pyatt

Subban - Spacek
Gorges - Gill
O'Byrne - Picard

Price

Assuming that Cammalleri will be suspended and Markov/Hamrlik still injured.

As a Leaf's fan, do you really want to point out another GM's goalie mistake?

Cough.... Rask .... Cough...

I do agree that Price doesn't scare me at all as the opposing goalie. I hope the Leafs light him up.

To be honest, Habs fans aren't scared at all by Giguere and the ''Monster'', which by the way is the least appropriate nickname in the league. Non-fans would be led to believe that the ''Monster'' is at the very least an above-average player!

I don't doubt that at all. What I was suggesting is, that Halak always had me groaning when I realized he would start against that Leafs. Price... Meh. He's as inconsistent as our backup. That's good for Leaf fans.

Oh, BTW, Giggy always seems to bring his "A" game against the habs.
