That 3rd needs some size around Horcoff. Otherwise, gimme!

I think that it works. Brule doesn't play small.

25 minutes a game playing center!? Makes me tired just thinking about it.

Anyone who plays hockey knows that centers generally have to work the hardest, defensively and offensively. If he excelled playing that many minutes then im sure he would do fine playing 2nd line center minutes or maybe even 1st.

Interesting lineup...which line handles the tough minutes?

I'd still want one of Brule/Cogliano swapped out for a 6'2" 220lbs player who plays big and is solid defensively. Like a Moreau from 5 seasons ago.

Oh man. I forgot about that. We were guaranteed a faceoff loss to start every powerplay. That was when I really started to question MacT.

Yes... three playmakers on one line....... excellent idea. They will cycle nice but nobody to put it in the net.

What the hell???

I thought we drafted a hard-driving, power-forward LW and it now turns out he's a centre?

We already have our franchise 1st line centre in Horcoff.

Well we do, but his name is Gagner.

Any way, I think people make way to big of a deal over this. C LW. Last I checked both can be impact players. I mean AO is in fact a LW is he not??

Did you just say Gagner is a franchise first-line centre?

Yea, i think Gagner can become a 1st line centre, but hes more likely to become a 2nd line centre. I always called him the next Mike Comrie. Which isn't a diss, Comrie was a good player, and Sammy may end up with some celeb lol

exaclty. Any way, I don't know how he turns out. However I have no problem saying his upside is number 1 C all day. Whether he reaches that or not, I dunno.

I like your thinking here. But isn't the responsibility of the #1C a bit much to start for Hall?

Penner - Gagner - Brule
MPS - Hall - Hemsky
Jones - Horcoff - TBA
JFJ - Fraser - Stortini

Assumptions:

4th year Gagner > 1st year Hall.

Hemsky and Hall are a match and eat up softer opposition.

Penner - Gagner - Brule can perform similar to last years Penner - Cogliano - Brule .

While we're on the topic, why do you say you COULD really care less? Everyone could care less about everything really, so whats the point of saying about it for anything in particular.
Shouldnt it be 'I couldnt care less'? That statement means that you have reached the maximum of not caring.

This is only center position at hockey, you guys make it sound like it's emergency rocket surgery through a wormhole or something... Very few centers @ 18 entering the league don't get destroyed defensively, nothing to be panicking about missing some assignments shaping him back into that role... You expecting a SCF or something?

Exactly. Let the kid try it out over the next few seasons and see how he does at the NHL level in both LW and C positions. No one can say what position he'll be best at except Hall and where the coaches want/need him.

Everything with this team right now is open for editing.
