Welcome to So Cal!

I'm guilty as charged as well... although I've always liked the Kings to a certain extent but I've never really followed them all that much up until when they drafted Brown.

Only reason I watch the Ducks play is Bobby Ryan. . . I can't help but love our American boys. . .

Also, i know fans of one team root against the other team if it was kings vs whoever or ducks vs whoever in the playoffs for example. But i just see it as So Cal vs whoever why wouldnt i want both to win? I dont get the hate, idk.

Jumping on is fine if you stay there, I think. There's tons of current Kings fans that jumped on the Gretzky bandwagon. I was 3 at the time of The Trade, but I'm definitely a product of that bandwagon.

Welcome aboard, guy!

I liked the Kings after they sent the Red Wings packing in '02. It was all down hill after that, but through the rough times rising to the top finally feels so much better.

Mine doesn't, being that I live there now, and have lived there in the past. It's strictly with the team. Hell, I even used to like the Angels. I stopped watching baseball years ago though.

I have friends that are Ducks fans, and it's only a sports thing really. It is very rare though, to find someone who is a fan of both teams. It's generally not well accepted from fans of either team. It's akin to USC/UCLA. People are generally only fans of one, but not both. Usually.

Baseball isn't as divided. I know lots of people who will support both the Angels and Dodgers, but that has changed since Interleague play.

I have friends that are ducks fans but are knowledgeable and were born and raised duck fans. Also I know more people that hate the angles, because they are LA fans not Anaheim fan. I guess agree to disagree

I was raised in OC, and played hockey down there with a lot of Ducks fans who are great fans and know/love the game. My Dad was taking me to games at the Forum in the later Gretzky years, which cemented my loyalty to the Kings. Still, I can't say I hate the Ducks, my level of hatred for Detroit, Montreal, and Marty McSorley (I'm no where close to over '93) go far beyond what I feel for the Ducks. Especially since the Ducks are losing now.

Ok

A large portion of us are over '93 but some people have problems putting sporting events behind them from 17 years ago and are still looking for the plastic fire truck they lost in their garage in 1982.

better?
