I don't listen to the radio, I'm just trying to remember him from his days on Kevin and Bean.

Money loves hockey, but LA is a baseball and basketball town. He wants ratings so he doesn't talk about hockey as much as he would like. He's still on Kevin & Bean from time to time and always talks hockey with Kevin (huge Kings fan).

I believe it is a couple of days before the start of the regular season.

It is a miracle when he does get to talk about hockey because that loud mouth partner of his has to chime in about his playing days as the captain of the worst usc football team in history(2000).
But money knows his puck

Nothing more true than this. I come from a long line of SC Grads, and I hate petros with a passion. Mainly because of the way he bashed my high school when playing for a state championship in '06.

Not true. He does talk hockey, just not very much. Face it, hockey talk on the radio is dead here in ths states besides Bruno's show. Even his show doesn't really go in depth with anything. He's just more of a big fan of the game. Hockey does not bring a radio audience so that's why it's pretty much ignored.

Money's a fan of the Kings. Maybe not die hard but he is. I've heard his show get Luc on as a guest at least a few times during this last season.

I don't blame you for thinking he doesn't. No one really does unless you listen all the time.

I was shocked to hear Kovalchuk's name on local sports radio today. Yeah, day 9 of this free agent frenzy! That right there gives you an idea how much hockey is reported on.

Thanks! So the Williams trade rumors are meaningless. The Kings should see if one of the prospects comes to camp and takes a job from Williams before entertaining a trade.

I haven't read all the posting regarding JW's potential trade but why are you guys so surprised?

Am I missing something because I thought we all pretty much expected either or both JW/Stoll to be traded.

Money broke the news of Leiweke's involvement in negotiations on Wednesday, prior to the LA Times publishing the article by Helene Elliott that revealed the news. This "rumor" may have legs. The Kings know Kovalchuk won't play for the next 15 years, they are simply taking advantage of the loophole that was exposed by the Red Wings.

In all likelihood, Kovalchuk has 10 or so years left in his legs, the additional five years will only reduce his cap hit. If the Kings gave him 15 years at $93M, Kovalchuk can collect his $10M per year salary for the first eight seasons, then drop the average in the final seven seasons to an average salary of $1.85M, Kovalchuk's cap hit will be $6.6M.

Is that your guess or is this from a well placed source?

What was it his 14 pts in 38 games that gave you that idea? Or the fact the nobody signed him till midway through the season (until they hit injury/scoring trouble)?

Also Kaberle>>Souray, Parse>> Ivanans and many other helpless cases you tried to argue over the year, why would you now think Satan a "perimeter player" is better than Williams who will at least go to the dirty areas? Which he isn't btw, hell its not even close, Williams is twice the player Satan is.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miroslav_%C5%A0atan

Satan has played close to 80 games for almost every season in his NHL career. Williams has only played 82 games 2x in his entire NHL career. Satan has played 81 plus about 5 times.

In this playoffs, he had 5 goals in 13 games. Williams had 1 assist in 3 games.

I can't believe it is so pathetic with our organization that I defending Satan, but he had a better 2010 season than Williams had and he makes less money.

I don't really care for Satan, but if we can move Williams and free up more money to sign Kovy or whoever, I am all for it.

Dancing Boy is piggy backing off this rumor with his latest tweet informing followers to "stay tuned." Had he not been a casting director, he would have made for one great used car salesman, along with his hero, Eklund.

Does Epic come after Saga?

We're way past trilogy.

When you know for certain that this will be the ultra, ultra, I mean ULTRA last thread, it needs to be titled omega.

We are all going to feel very isolated and lonely once the Kovalchuk signing comes to pass. Somebody hold me.
