Turco?

I was just wondering if anyone has actually heard anything on Turco? What his plans are? Any other teams interested in him? Is there anyone else worth signing that hasn't been picked up? I just haven't heard any goalie talk...please don't say Leighton is starting for us.

Today's Dallas Morning News mentioned that Turco has refused interviews for the last ten days but he returns text messages. San Jose was mentioned as a possibility but that was the writer's opinion more than anything concrete.

His agent is supposedly keeping in touch with the Flyers daily (at least that's the last thing I read). I could only speculate and think he's waiting for the Flyers to free up cap space (a la Gagne/Hartnell/Carle etc)

yea i suspect both the Flyers and Turco are just waiting on cap space before a signing is made..

i suspect it will be Turco/Leighton fighting for starting position.. with the other playing as backup..

Boucher will be sent down if i had to put money on it..

looking forward to training camp if this happens..i wanna see Leighton work for his chance to start..

Is anyone else afraid of Niemi being awarded too much in arbitration, then Chicago pursuing Turco?

Now the Hawks just need to get rid of Toews and people will finally know how to pronounce some of their players' names.

Last I heard, they were still only about $3.5 million under, but I am not sure if that was before the new cap was announced or not.

Turco can stay in limbo. The next move by Holmgren is to give himself cap room, and still bring a valuable return for whomever is going.

Being under the cap is underrated, let's sign a goalie or three.

Turco will eventually sign with the Flyers for under $2 million.

Just relax people.

I wonder if other teams are contacting Turks? I hope he is willing to wait for us to move some salary before we can throw him a contract.

I agree with this. I just have this feeling that Turco will be here soon. That's confirmed with my gut.
