While not too many NHL athletes have taken to personally marketing themselves (OV8 is the only "catch phrase" that comes to mind), other athletes around the sphere do. (George Parros has a clothing line based on his mustache.)

For instance, Heisman trophy freshman QB John Manziel from Texas A&M (who will be playing in the Cotton Bowl) has "Johnny Football", "Johnny Heisman", etc. But as a collegiate player cannot financially take advantage of those.
