I will be rooting for Italy and USA like normal.

Netherlands or Brazil are my favorites to win it all.

Which gets first priority? Italy or USA?

For me it's USA, then Germany.

Well Italy has my 2 of my favorite players in the world on it....and I obviously root for USA because its my country.

I would say I cheer for USA with hopes they can make it out of the group stage. There is 0 chance they can win it all. Italy actually has a chance to win it all. You get my point? Once USA loses (inevitable) I switch to Italy.

Oddly enough that's almost exactly how I go. I tell me friends "I cheer for the USA, but when they eventually get knocked out I cheer for Germany." But I'll still follow Germany through the entire tournament.

Me too. when people ask me who I want to win I say Spain and the Dutch...then I have to add after the US of course, but they won't go anywhere. I still think back to the 1998 loss to Iran and how I have no confidence that the US will play like they ought to.

I pretty muchy like all teams, except Mexico. I pull against Mexico very much.

Anyone know if Robben is OK for the Dutch? I thought I heard he pulled something in a friendly the other day.

Impossible to know, seems to be relatively minor, but he's extraordinarily injury prone.

If the Dutch can roll that trio of Robben, RvP, and Sneijder with maybe VdV and have that solid base of de Jong and MvB in midfield, they become a very interesting darkhorse, but Robben is key.

The Irish flag was made official in 1919, about 30 years before Italy formally adopted it's current flag in 1948.

You are accusing the wrong group of copying.

LOL Someone can't take a joke.

P.S Even though Italy did use their Current flag in the late 1700 for Republics, and the Flag after was pretty much identical with the shield/crown.

My Ireland jersey arrived today and I'm playing 2010 World Cup on XBox now.

Basically I'm drowning myself in World Cup to dull the pain of the Stanley Cup...
